We were particularly pleased to see a gluten free menu and have a server who understood how serious celiac can be. We also asked for a quiet table, because of a member of our party with a hearing deficit, and we had a nice quiet corner. Lovely evening.

We live close, but do not go here that frequently: It was Boston's Restaurant Week with a limited special menu. We sat at the bar, the staff was excellent very attentive, and friendly. We ordered off of the regular menu and the Restaurant Week menu: In both cases the food was very good. The Restaurant Week menu included a desert, which we brought home, as we were full.

We have been dinning at the Waltham location since it opened. The food and service in the past has always been wonderful which is why it was our go to for special occasions. Last night was the first time we experienced poor service. Our meal was delivered by someone other than our waitress, it was missing an item. We asked the delivering person to look into the missing item and the missing pre dinner bread. Our waitress never checked on us until we were finished with our dinner. The missing item never arrived. After waiting 15 minutes for dessert (which was included with the meal) our waitress came to the table and told us the kitchen was backed up, we told her we would take it to go. The to go container and check arrived immediately, she did take the missing item off our bill. Although our food was delicious the service and dining experience was disappointing.

Not sure what the fuss is about this place. It’s a very good steak, but not great, and mine was a little overcooked, and that’s kind of inexcusable for a steak house. The salad was comically overdressed. Garlic mashed were good, but nothing special. Bread pudding was fine, but make something like that in a traditional way; don’t turn it into a torte. That’s not what it is. The service was attentive, but very “goodfellas” chummy, which is fine, but the shtick wears off. Did we really need to be told three times that the plate was 500 degrees? Obviously, it says so in the servers’ handbook, so… One thing was really outstanding: the Old Fashioned. Superb cocktail. Finally, rule number one: clear the tray containing the dirty dishes. No one wants to spend a dinner that costs $200 staring at dishes and silverware piled up just two feet from your table.

Ruth’s Chris is always excellent. My only complaint is I asked for a medium well steak and it was well done. The waiter offered to take it back and recook a new one but I ate it anyway. It was dry and charred.

Everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was just perfect, everything was done in a very elegant nice way. The manager Mike stopped by to ask how was everything and to make sure we are satisfied with the service and food. Participate Restaurant week but gave out regular menus. We have to ask for restaurant week menu The price was charged wrong still. Back and forth the bill. Waiter has to ask manager. Finally agreed with price that posted vs price charges. They apologized at the end but took total 30 minutes to pay bill

We were the first ones in the restaurant and the next party was seated rigth beside us, with every other table available. It was the first time at Ruth Chris for the 99 year old's Birthday in our party. He received filet not coked as ordered. They redid it but it was very dissapointing to have our MVP wait for his meal while we ate. I did share but it was just not what we expected or hoped for as his celebration. The soup and potatoes were not hot while of course the steak plates sizzled with heat. Their bread and butter is very good. It was Restaurant week so it was more affordable but upcharging for vegetable versus potato is unecessary I think. More than one option for dessert would be nice. The way they do the birthday dessert plate is nice.

Regrettably there was a family with four small children that were loud and uncontrolled … I normally don’t complain about kids as I have a few myself, but the parents should’ve considered others in the restaurant around them … and they didn’t. Not much that you can do about it.
