    We went to Kincaids before the Wild game Tuesday 11/28. (The last time we went there we waited 55 minutes for our food and missed the start of the game!) Soooo this time we made resv at 515 for a 7pm game. We had our Wild jerseys on (again) and the server commented about us going to the game and we said let’s order right away since we missed the start last time due to slow service. We ordered a drink and ordered food at 540 and still didn’t get our food at 640!! We asked the server and he said it’s coming soon. It finally Came at 650 and we are fast but still missed the start of the game. Many people around us suffered the same fate. Very very disappointing!!

    Ordinarily Kincaid’s is a place you can count on great service and food. Our service was lacking this time. We were served a bottle of wine that was different than what we ordered (no one noticed until the end of the evening). It was a “lesser” type but good so we were willing to pay for it. However we were charged the original cost of the reserve wine we didn’t get. There was pushback from the management until they offered to reduce the price on our ticket, which we agreed to. Just a bit of a hassle that didn’t need to happen.

    There no doubt the atmosphere is festive this time of year We were seated and right from the start our waiter was flustered and confused to everything we questioned. He didn’t understand what we were asking about menu. He was short and we felt we were more of a burden then a paying guest Food arrived cold and everyone got the wrong entree After playing musical meals finally everyone entree was right Never had water filled. Had to ask twice Never received sauces we asked for Checks were given. Separate checks for 3 couples Well of course they were all wrong Waited 20-25 minutes for waiter to correct checks Finally we just paid what we were given. It kept coming back wrong This is not the place to have server training night On a busy Saturday night during holidays Not impressed Will never be back Use to be amazing. Not anymore Server was rude short and very unorganized and unprofessional

    Food was great, service was extremely slow. Even though we were seated on time for our reservation, it took 15 minutes before a server brought water and another 20 before we had our drinks. It was extremely busy and I know they were doing their best, but it was disappointing.

    Just Thanksgiving night out a new thing for us. It was very pleasant and quiet. Drinks and food were excellent! Our sever - Lindsay - was very attentive without being too overbearing. Well worth the trip!

    Wait Assistant was inadequate. His personal hygiene was offensive. Server seemed way over her head, super slow service. 3 course meal, where each course was served to the wrong person, and waited 90 minutes for main to be served. Sub Par all around. Capital Grill or even The Lexington would have been a better option. Happy Thanksgiving

    Had a great Thanksgiving prix fixe meal at Kincaid's. Lots of menu choices (soup/salad/entrees) including traditional turkey dinner that was comfort food with a flavor twist. Kudos to the chef. Nice vibe, excellent personal service. $55 per person was a good value, especially if you had filet or the seafood dishes. Would definitely do Thanksgiving here again -- or any other "nice event" dinner.

    Service was exceptionally slow. We arrived for our 5:15 reservation. We asked about our meal at 6:25 and were provided with a condescending response that food will not come out in 15 minutes on a show night (we ordered far more than 15 minutes, but also waited quite some time to place our order). At 6:40, we asked to cancel the meal as we no longer had time to eat before a 7pm show. They then brought the food, some of which was cold and some that was overcooked

    The food and ambiance were very good. Our server was only fair. She gave us no extra service. She took our drink and menu order and that was it. At the end of the meal she presented the check. She did nothing to really welcome us or make us feel valued.

    The waitress wasn’t very friendly at all. We went there for a special occasion and we’re excited to eat some good food. Not the case at all. I took a long time to get any drinks they weren’t even that busy. We got calamari, which was a bunch of just fried crap all over a plate. Then we ordered prime rib, which was super fatty and tough, and tuna- which had no flavor at all . The waitress kind of threw the check down at the table and didn’t even ask us if we wanted anything else, very disappointing!!!

    As usual the overall Kincaids experience was excellent. The sesame seared ahi, the seafood combo and blue cheese salad were tremendous. My wife’s Caesar salad was somewhat disappointing as she said the dressing had a somewhat funny taste. A little bummed they ran out of Prosecco as well. Overall value was ok - a little pricey but similar to other steak/seafood restaurants. Would certainly go back.

    The energy of the waiter was great but our starting drink order took twenty minutes. Several of us had fish (walleye and salmon) and neither was even “good” - just fine. The portion of walleye was thin, had bones and very small. It has a great rep and I assume we just hit them on an off night.

    We sat at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. The bartender was fantastic! Then we got seated. It took a long time for our server to check in. Once she did, she tried to take our appetizer and dinner order all at once. We asked her if we could please just do the appetizers so that we could space out our meal as we were not in a hurry. She asked if we wanted bread and butter, and we said yes. The appetizer came and it was great. She came around while we were eating it and asked again if we wanted bread and butter, and we said yes. Time went by, our dinners were served and she came to check in at which time we told her we never got the bread and butter. She hardly apologized and blamed it on someone else that was supposed to bring it. She just never seem to have a lot of time for us, and it was not a great service experience. The food was great, but my husband did feel that his steak was overpriced for the quality. A lot of fat on it.

    We haven't been to Kincaid's for a while. It's still a great place to go; the food is excellent, it's quiet, and the service is great. The prices have gone up a lot in the last couple of years, but that seems to be the case everywhere. It looks like parking validation may be gone forever. Our only disappointment was the Broadway Pea Salad was unavailable.

    Have to pay to park but overall food and drinks were good. out of 4 of us my Shrimp and Scallop dish was pretty tasteless. Brussel sprout slaw was also not very tasty. appetizers were very well made and tasty.

    I have dined at Kincaid’s for years…especially for special occasions. We went here before a concert. The room was full and had good energy. Unfortunately the food was not what I have come to expect. We ordered a fish with potatoes dish. The fish was overcooked with little flavor and the potatoes were undercooked and inedible. We also had a side of giant asparagus which was undercooked as well. Normally I would just send back but as we had to dash off to the show that was not an option. The food preparation coupled with the very high prices…I would be hard pressed to return to the dining room.

    Perfection! This is why classics like Kincaids maintain their star status. Impeccable service that focuses on the details…no rushing along so the meal can be truly enjoyed. I had a grilled halibut with a compound butter sauce the server recommended. Amazing! Dining partners steak was cooked perfectly, and oh so tender. Cocktails are super interesting and generous pours. See you there!

    My husband and I flew to St Paul for the Queen concert. This was our first time in the city and chose Kincaid’s for dinner from the good reviews. It did not disappoint. We each ordered Minnesota-famous Walleye, and it was perfection. My husband said it was one of the best dinners he’s had in a long time. Of course, we topped it off with the delicious Key Lime pie. Kincaid’s has a beautiful atmosphere, and the design allows the privacy of an intimate dinner. Our server, Daniel, was exceptional…friendly, professional and very efficient. He made sure the order of our dinner allowed us plenty of time to enjoy cocktails, dinner and dessert, leaving us a comfortable window to get to the concert. He nailed it and yet we never felt rushed. We are foodies and feel that Kincaid’s wrote the book on the excellence of running a top-notch restaurant. We only wish you’d open one in the Kansas City area.

    I would give more stars, however, we were seated in a corner table with the server station almost touching our table....worst seat in the house! Our server was so busy she didn't have time to even check on our meal. Good thing the food is always yummy.

    We were disappointed in the quality of the food based on the cost. The vegetables were barely warm. The shrimp had a sharp white thin (bone) in it. Weird! The $19 appetizer was very small for sharing. On a positive note, the crème brûlée was excellent! Also, previous dining there was alway top notch.

    Weekday lunch at Kincaids. While the restaurant was pretty empty, still took a while to get initial service, though it improved after that. Food was somewhat uninspired, salmon was over cooked. Salads were okay. Prices were fine, just had wished for more out of this restaurant.

    Food taste good, rice was not hot under the Halibut and did not get steak house butter until halfway through my meal. Lobster bisque very tasty. Service was less than it could or should be for the price.

    About 20 feet away they had two separate groups of students there that looked like they were going to a school dance. Towards the latter half of the evening they got a bit loud which took away from our experience. Not a huge deal, but if you’re going to a place like this and paying these kind of prices, the restaurant should find a more out of the way seating away from the main dinning room (if they have one?). Also our server didn’t seem to have a warm personality, just following the script, but overall did a good job.

    Great service and atmosphere. Chose this restaurant because it was close to the Ordway Theater. Prices are moderate and seem to be a good value. I ordered the Walleye dinner, which they cook their fish medium / rare. I don't care for my fish that way, so the waitress gladly brought me a new dish that was cooked to perfection. At the end, they comp'd us a dessert for the inconvenience of getting a dish not to my liking. Will definitely go back!

    Very nice when we arrived. Then we had a couple placed right next to us in a very open restaurant. Then the husband started blowing his nose every 10 while we were eating. I can't blame the restaurant for someone with poor manners. We placed our order only to find out we could not have the appetizer we wanted as the Kitchen was out. Then My wife ordered a rare cut of Prime Rib only to told she they did not have a rare cut only Medium. She asked for a side of Bearnaise Sauce and received Ala Oscar and the server said that this is what the Kitchen gave him. I think the most egregious thing to me was I specifically put on my OT reservation that it was my wife's Birthday. and there was no acknowledgement of it at all and as we were leaving the Host was watching a football game in the bar and said "Have a good night" he never asked how things were or even if we were pleased with our service. I know our Server did the best he could but there were no more that 4 or 5 couples in the whole restaurant at the time we were there. The evening was somewhat disappointing.

    The food was ok, but nothing exciting and didn't meet the level of expectations for a restaurant that positions itself as an upscale seafood and steak restaurant. The real disappointment though was the service. All of the staff was pleasant to interact with, but it took over 30 minutes to get our drinks after we first ordered. Ran out of water and had to request refills. Soup was delivered AFTER the entrée and the bread came even after the soup. Had to request a soup spoon. Had to request dirty dishes taken away between courses (they were starting to just pile up). Either very untrained staff or very overwhelmed.
