The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

Born & Raised turns the old-school steakhouse genre on its head, displaying photos of rap legends in the all-gold, super-glam dining room. There are steakhouse faithfuls, plus carts that prep vintage cocktails tableside. The result is an OTT steakhouse fit for the highest of high rollers.

                                                                          We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday and I had made a reservation in advance specifically to sit upstairs so we could enjoy the sunset and have a more intimate experience. Unfortunately, we were seated downstairs instead, where it was extremely loud—so much so that we couldn’t even enjoy each other’s company. The downstairs ambiance felt more like a BJ’s restaurant: casual and noisy, which was not what we had planned or expected. It was disappointing and felt misleading.

                                                                          When we first started coming to BNR it was awesome. Staff was friendly and seemed happy to be there but unfortunately on this visit, we have decided it was our last. We noticed some red flags that are sure signs of The restaurant is not like it used to be to be. The food was lack flustered and not the quality and taste like in the past. Also the to go bags and no longer the cool BNR logo bags, they are just plain purple/ dark brown paper bags. We spent $500 on a dinner that we did not enjoy. The signature Cesar salad was not made very good. That is our most favorite item and it was not on point like usual. I think this visit will be our last to BNR. We can go anywhere for mediocre meals but we thought going to BNR would be above that but it turned out tonight it was just mediocre. Thank you for the past great meals.

                                                                          The food is amazing and so is the service. My only complaint is that we always have to wait 15+ minutes to be seated even when having a reservation.
