Mary Mahoney's Old French House serves lunch and dinner six days a week and offers a variety of appetizers including our famous Broiled Crab Claws, Fried Soft Shell Crabs, Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp and Lump Crabmeat Seafood Gumbo. Signature dishes served at Mary Mahoney's Old French House include Queen Ixolib, Fresh Fish of the Day topped with Lump Crabmeat, Sisters of the Sea Au Gratin and Shrimp and Lump Crabmeat Melba.     Our steaks were done to perfection, the salads were just right, the bread was divine and the baked potato—the biggest one I’ve ever seen—was fluffy and hot. Our server Randee was very personable and took good care of us with one small exception—she didn’t refill my tea and I had to ask one of the “water servers” to bring me a refill. We got the bourbon pecan pie to go and ate it later and it, too, was delicious.

    Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Bread hot and plentiful. Fried crab claws were very small. Steak was not properly cooked (very undercooked). Ordered shrimp and crab Au’gratin which had many shrimp but no crab. Bread pudding was delicious.

    I went by myself on a Saturday night. Food was delicious. I got the Wagyu Strip sirloin, truffle fries, and key lime pie for dessert. The steak was cooked perfectly and paired with was the fries was a perfect combination! The pie was cold and tart with a whipped cream that was sweet and balanced out the pie nicely. Only “down” side was I was seated in a very uninteresting part of the restaurant… it served its purpose, but felt it was the overflow room that needs some updating. It didn’t take away from the food. The service was fast. Which was good, but it also felt a bit rushed even though they were not rushing me (if that makes sense). My server was lovely and we had some nice brief conversation. All in all it was a very pleasant night out!

    ⸻ Mary Mahoney’s Old French House – Biloxi, MS Visited: Saturday, June 7 at 8:00 PM We were looking forward to celebrating a birthday at Mary Mahoney’s during our first visit to Biloxi. The evening started strong with friendly, professional service at the bar. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once we were seated. Despite noting it was a special occasion, we were initially placed next to a service station. The hostesses seemed more focused on chatting than guest experience, but eventually moved us to a better table. Our server was friendly at first, but then disappeared. Water glasses sat empty, no bread was served, and basic attentiveness was lacking. The food, however, was excellent — well-prepared and deserving of the restaurant’s reputation. Food: ★★★★★ Service (bar excluded): ★☆☆☆☆ This could be a standout experience with more focus on hospitality and guest care.

    The chicken and sausage gumbo was delicious. Highly recommend the creamed spinach side. The history of the building and land is very interesting. We enjoyed learning the story. Also, the little plaques in each room displaying famous diners was a nice addition.

    We had a great experience here for lunch. The staff was very accommodating to our party. We requested to move sections due our son’s disabilities and they went above and beyond to help. We enjoyed a great meal and our server was outstanding.

    This restaurant never fails. Food is delicious, atmosphere is lovely, service is impeccable. A perfect trifecta. Our server was Daniel; he was everything you want in a server.
