Vespaio Restaurant is one of the original South Congress eateries and remains one of Austin's favorite Italian go-to's among locals and visitors. This casual dinner venue is a popular choice for date nights or evenings out with friends, seating every day at 5pm. The interior of Vespaio Restaurant is decorated with ceiling tiles, ceiling plans, vintage pendant lighting, classic table seating, a plethora of wine racks and vibrant accent walls.In addition to a full bar menu, Vespaio Restaurant offers a lengthy selection of mouth-watering and flavorful authentic Italian dishes. Menu items include carpaccio, mixed seafood stew, lasagna, mussels, calamari, spaghetti carbonara, chocolate hazelnut cake, panna cotta and green pasta with shrimp. Everything on the menu is sourced locally and prepared in-house, including the pasta, bread and pastries.

    We haven’t been back to Vespaio in a long time — but it’s back on our short list now. Food was incredible and service was perfect!!!

    Excellent experience all around - very attentive to detail. Wrote a birthday card to my girlfriend, and brought dessert and Champagne. 10/10 recommend!

    Service was good. There were no options available on the daily menu that were vegetarian. Usually there are lots of vegetarian options, so was disappointed by the limited menu with all 4 of us being vegetarian. They were also out of the white bean dip that comes with the bread. The oil they brought was good but missed the dip. But the suppli, bruschetta, and Nutella cheesecake were fantastic.

    Vespaio was recommended to us by two people who live in Austin, and we were not disappointed. There was a good crowd despite being a Sunday evening. Our server was friendly and professional. The food was outstanding, everything we expected. We highly recommend it.

    We always love Vespaio! The food is delicious and we especially love the ambiance in the bar. Last night, we ate in the dining room since there were 5 of us and we had an excellent meal. Our server was very nice, the service was just slower than normal which is why we gave a 4-star rating opposed to 5-star. We'll be back, it's one of our favorite restaurants in Austin!

    Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. I can't believe if never been here before, but I know I'll be back. Oh. And get the risotto. It's ridiculous! (And by that I mean good)
