   The waiter was totally rude and made us feel uncomfortable even dining there. He forgot to bring me my wine. The busboy was the only pleasant person at the restaurant. The food while delicious was not enjoyable due to the terrible service.

   Most of the food was good! We had a chicken polenta app and brussels sprouts, then an arugula salad and gluten free pizza. Everything was good except for the brussels sprouts which were swimming in oil which I didn't like at all

   2nd time dining here. Went for dinner last year and again this week with some colleagues. The food is delicious and we just love it here. Everything we have tried, we enjoyed. The short rib Mac and cheese is incredible as is the lasagna bolognese.

   their manager / host was very rude. we showed up exactly at the time of our reservation and were told we had to wait. we waited 30 minutes without any interaction from the manager and he sat several walk ins before us even though they arrived after us with no reservation

   Noisy. Service was not great. Felt rushed in regard to ordering & constant inquiries on taking away dishes that we were not done with. Never brought a drink that was requested twice. Disappointed, as I hadn’t been in awhile & had enjoyed in the past.

    Zaza is a good option pre movie. But food is ok. The owner is so rude though. He sat us promptly but very curt. We got our food quickly but our order was wrong and no one offered to correct. Bc we had a movie to get to, we did not ask them to re make it but they should’ve offered to take it off the bill. Pizza was not good. Crust was soggy and not like brick oven as stated. I think the way to go would be with the appetizers and a pasta maybe?

    Amazing dinner and atmosphere. Delectable pasta dishes, really made our mouths water. Aperol Spritz was delicious and the Hennessy Continental was definitely something we have never seen before. 11/10 love this place and what made it better was my hot date. We will be back! 😎

    Owner was incredibly rude. Knocked my two year old son to the ground and sneered at him. Also took his high chair away before we were finished with our meal. Food wasn’t good enough to consider coming back anyways. Would never recommend to anyone based on our treatment.

    I brought my team of six to Zaza for our annual holiday dinner and gift exchange. The staff at Zaza was very accommodating and friendly. A few of us arrived early to the venue and were planning on sitting at the bar for a cocktail until our table was ready, but the staff allowed us to sit at our table early. The restaurant even collected our 36 gift bags and held them in the back until we were ready to exchange. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

    Food was fantastic. It is a lively atmosphere in the front and was a bit loud. Space is not quite and romantic but still pleasant. However we will NEVER be returning as the owner was rude, was difficult when we asked at the beginning of the evening if we could have separate checks for food and alcohol, and refused to let the wait staff serve another round of drinks at the end of the evening, but then said we could move to the bar for another drink. It had nothing to do with needing to turn the table over. There were multiple tables that were not occupied. While we were having our drink at the bar, he was yelling at his staff in the dining area. It’s too bad that he ruined such good food and a pleasant evening.

    Overall restaurant is good: food is tasty and nicely proportioned but appetizers are quite small for the money. Servers were polite and friendly but it took a while for them to take our order after we arrived. Manager is not welcoming.

    Love everything about this place except the crotchety man who I believe may be the owner. I’ve been coming to this establishment since it opened. It is one of my favorites. However, this man is the worst. He never smiles, is pushy, and sometimes I wanna yell at him that I’ve been keeping this place afloat. So yes, the place is amazing but do not try and kill the old man with kindness. It will not work.

    We were given the option to sit at the bar or a table which was nice. Our server greeted us promptly and we were able to put in our drinks and apps right away. Our orders came quick as well and what we ordered was perfect- food and drinks were tasty. The only thing was the dessert I really wanted wasn’t available and the alternate I chose I didn’t like. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I have been twice and I was pleased both times.

    I made a reservation on open table, when we arrived we were told there was not a reservation made under my name. I had to show the online reservation email. We were seated in the back room, we unwrapped our utensils , our bread was brought to us, we ordered our drinks and we were drinking water. Then we were asked to move for another party and if we moved the party would buy us dessert so we moved. Our waiter comes over and asks if we are ready to and I said “we will start with calamai” and the waiter said “I need to put the whole order in at once” so we all ordered. 4 of our 5 meals comes out, the fifth meal comes out and it’s the wrong dish. The waiter said he would put in the right order. Well 15 min goes by and still not meal. My mother said to the waiter “forget putting in the right order we don’t have time we have a show to go to” The manager comes over and asks what the problem was and we explained and he said “I’ll bring it out right now, and take it off the bill” we insisted to have it wrapped but it they brought it out anyway. We had them take it back and wrap it and asked for the dessert menu, we ordered 2 tiramisus and my mom ordered flan. The two tiramisus come out and the waiter says to my mom “tonight is not your night we are out of flan”. It’s now 7:30 and a huge party comes and sits right next to us, they did not have enough seats and were clearly waiting for us to leave, come to find out they had a 6:30 reservation and were just being sat an hour later. All i have to say is the food is delish but pure chaos with the manager, kitchen, and waitstaff! Definitely was not an enjoyable dining experience!

    We were recommended Zaza by an acquaintance this week and went to celebrate my wife’s graduation. Here’s the breakdown of our experience: Hostess-Had an attitude like she didn’t want to be there on a Friday night Server & Busboy-They were quick, very attentive, and had a very welcoming attitude so the recovery was good after dealing w the hostess App-We had the Italian French Fries w/ gravy and they were delicious. Drinks were several glasses of the secret recipe sangria, which is one of the best sangrias we’ve had Entree-I had the Penne Salmon w cream sauce and my wife had the Penne Vodka. Mine was too heavy on cream but we ended up mixing both pasta plates and it was delicious. Ambiance-The restaurant was half full and had good energy. We sat at a table next to the bar and unfortunately the patrons at the bar were too loud. The restaurant needs better accoustics like dampers to absorb the noise and prevent it from bouncing off the walls and ceiling We’ll definitely be back as we’ve found our go to Italian restaurant in Stamford.

    Was five minutes late to our reservation (we called and let them know) and the host was incredibly rude to us upon arrival. He told my mother “you’re late, you can wait” and told me when I went to speak to him that he had “told that woman you’re with you will be waiting.” Needless to say, we did not wait. Left and had a great dinner at Tutti Pazzi down the street. I worked in restaurants for a very long time and have no issue being asked to wait when I’m the one who was behind on my reservation. I do have an issue with being spoken to like that, and having my mother spoken to like that.

    We were back in Stamford and couldn't wait to get back to Zaza! I haven't been able to find any establishment who prepares Penne alla Vodka like Zaza. Perfect al dente noodles and awesome flavor. The chicken parmesan was awesome as well. My husband had the dish at another establishment a few days later in Boston; nope, not like Zaza! We will return whenever we are in the area.     My husband and I were driving home to NJ from Maine & I read over the menu for Zaza in Connecticut and we decided to stop there on the way home for dinner. Well we had a wonderful meal there that was delicious. The staff is great and the owner was so warm and welcoming. We will be taking a special ride to Connecticut just to revisit.

    Best Brussels sprouts app in the area. I had the zucchini noodles with shrimp dish, it was absolutely delicious! Excellent service, amazing food. Go for drinks and apps or soup to nuts. You won’t be disappointed. Five stars!

    Owner / manager is not the most pleasant but he’s Italian so kinda goes with the territory! Also, I wasn’t given credit for my reservation via open table and I had to request for my credit. Hence not all 5 stars around.

    Me and my friend went there for dinner. We order 2 tapas to begin with. The oil used for fired artichoke was smelling and tasted bitter. Also the artichoke was not fresh but canned. Spicy calamari was okay but not at all great for the price. I would really not go back.

    Zaza has s a Stamford favorite. The food is always devious, comes out in a timely manner and even though the restaurant is usually busy they never hurry you out. Their drinks are delicious. They have the best espresso martini in town!
