We booked dinner reservations for our 15th anniversary. The staff members were incredible, and had customize menu inserts and a card with rose petals on our table. Those little touches were so special, and I am so grateful! They had live piano music, and the vibes in there are immaculate. The food was excellent, as always. The whipped potatoes are a must no matter what you order for an entree. I have tried to replicate them at home with no luck! This is a favorite "treat" restaurant for us. If you are looking for something special to celebrate an anniversary or other event, highly recommend.

Everything was just perfect! We sat in a half booth elevated above the bar, and thoroughly enjoyed the pianist in the background. Our waiter, Antonio was excellent, a true pro. Steaks were perfect! Great night again!

I’m giving the experience a 2 because both of our steaks were overcooked, which is not what you want to see at a “high end” steakhouse. I didn’t complain about mine because it was at least edible, but 2/3 of my boyfriend’s medium filet was mid-well to well, and when he tried to send it back through the person who dropped it off, he argued he should cut more through the middle and was very insistent that the obviously overcooked steak was a medium just because there was a little pink in the middle. We sent it back through our server and it came out much better, but at the price, the chef should be cooking the steaks perfectly every time, and if they don’t, there should be no hesitation for them to remake it. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here, other than that situation, it was pretty good.

Hyde Park offers great food and service. Prices are a bit high, but the experience is worth it for a special dinner.

The staff were great, including our server. Unfortunately, there were a few things leading to an overall dissatisfying experience. First, there was some kind of bug flying around our table near our water glasses. The second and more important problem was my steak. It was probably the worst steak I've ever eaten. The steak was prepared medium rare as requested, but was a stringy, gristly mess. Tough and not tasty. Cutting it was a lot of work and eating it was even more work. Just a very bad cut of meat. Hyde Park most likely would have taken care of the issue had I complained, but I chose not to since it was a special occasion and we were limited on time to be waiting for another steak to be prepared.

We had a delicious meal of fillet steak along with a Caesar Salad and mashed potatoes. One of the guests had French Onion Soup and thought it was delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and the waiter brought out a dessert with a candle burning. The evening was enjoyed by all.
