   We stayed at the hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and loved our food and experience for dinner. The short ribs were a bit dry, but overall we loved each of the dishes we ordered.

    Was a favorite of ours pre pandemic and we finally got back for a birthday celebration. Best Manhattan in town. Wonderful service. The kale salad was superb and something I want to recreate at home. Can’t wait to visit the rooftop bar once the snow melts!

    The food was very good. The potato rolls were warm and flavorful. The salmon, in my opinion, was cooked perfectly, but it was not especially unique or memorable. I still think it would be worthwhile to go back and give some other dishes a try. The craft cocktails were superb! The lounge area looked like a fun place to meet-up with firends.

    Our server, Bart, was great. Unfortunately the food was very bad. Like the worst I’ve had from a restaurant in maybe my entire life. We should have said something and were debating doing so but decided to just pay and leave and never go back. For $30ish a plate, the food should be good. I got the veal schnitzel and the veal was very over cooked and the breading was straight black and tasted very burnt. My partners scallops were on the opposite end of the spectrum, hardly cooked. It’s a shame because the service was excellent and the aesthetic was really nice.

    Poor service for an ultra expensive tiny bites kind of place. Very poor service. It seemed as if there was no manager around and the servers were very confused.

    The Tullibee - Hewing Hotel establishment was clearly not ready to handle a Valentine's Day event. There was a single person working the valet stand out in front, despite the fact that there were a dozen cars in front waiting to be parked. Because of this - despit the fact that we arrived early - there was a 25-minute delay in getting inside the restaurant. Once inside, service was both slow and unorganized. There was approximately a 30-minute delay between the completion and pickup of the second course and the delivery of the third course, the main entree.

    The food was terrible. Overly salty. No harmony or balance in flavors to speak of. Scallop sent back because it wasn’t cooked enough. One salad order came with nuts when we asked to have the salad without nuts. Drinks came 30 plus minutes after we were seated and one was incorrect. Trout was a bit undercooked but I ate what I could. It was a very expensive meal and the worst I have ever had. It was a special occasion and we were very disappointed. Asked for the dessert to be boxed up so we could take it home and the two selections we chose were absolutely terrible. I rarely comment or complain or send anything back to the kitchen, but this meal was a total disaster and disappointment. I am wondering if anyone on the staff ever tasted this menu.

    Decided last minute to get brunch here. Always wanted to try it. What a pleasure! The eggs Benedict are divine with the most delicious rye bread and the accent of just a bit of acorn squash. Latte and coffee were perfect. Service from the hostess, the server and everyone was amazing.

    Enjoyed brunch Sunday morning at Tullibee. Loved the Eggs Benedict. Perfect for a winter morning, tons of flavor. Absolutely perfectly cooked eggs, and creamy dill hollandaise atop toasted dark rye. A thin slice of roasted butternut squash tucked into the stack along with Canadian bacon. Others enjoyed the bagels & lox,breakfast Sammie and eggs with bacon and roasted potatoes. Appreciated the freshly brewed dark roast coffee, nice and strong. Yum!

    Lovely meal. The chef's charcuterie board was delicious and generous. The duck fries are an unexpected pleasure. Had the steak frites, and it was so tender and perfectly medium rare. My companion had an endive salad which she loved. We had the chocolate gelato, which had salt flakes atop. Delicious. We had 9:45 reservations, which I understand is late when you close at 10, but the kitchen cleaned the grill while we were eating. It smelled pretty strongly and got in our throats. All in all, the crowd was young, old, lovely and happy. The service was impeccable and notable. We had a great time.

    Unfortunately our server was extremely rude, and clearly annoyed by our reservation that was added on due to an error on behalf of restaurant scheduling. Management called days prior to fill us in and to assure our reservation was still on regardless of the event. Once seated we were met with clear frustration, were ignored and treated like we were burdening him. I can understand being frustrated when it’s busy, but you know what you’re getting into in this industry, especially during lively events. Treating patrons as if they are a burden and cursing under your breath in their presence is uncalled for. I left what I felt was a generous tip for such poor service in hopes it was just a really off day. I can guarantee it won’t happen again.

    Worst meal I've had in several years. My date tried the butternut squash lasagna. Three tiny pinwheels. Tasteless. My friends had the broccoli, duck and potatoes. Was the duck cooked? The potatoes underdone and hard. At least you cannot screw up broccoli, though i bet you tried. Personally, i had the veal schnitzal. Was that a piece of over cooked shoe leather on my plate? Terrible. Just terrible. Oh, and the potato rolls delivered in a cigar box on one order and a second on a table napkin. Did you fancy these up from Cub Foods? Why? Cool lobby vibe in general and my Manhattan was good along with the Blood Root pinot. Thank God you can't mess up a good drink. My recommendation to friends and others? Go for a couple drinks in the lobby but skip Tullibee -- Jaywalk to Hoyt's for a real meal. You're lucky I'm not a social media influencer because I trash the restaurant on Yelp. You should be ashamed of yourselves. PS: Kampachi Crudo? You've got to be kidding me. Glad I saw thru the ruse and took a pass. Farm to Table? You're no farm to table. You're the junk pile in the Back 40. Worst hundy I've spent in a restaurant in years.

    This is easily one of the best restaurants in the North Loop in terms of food. It's a pretty large space, too, and is one of the few places you can usually get into on a Friday night without a reservation. Food: lots of wood-fired vegetables, fish, steaks, and usually one or two modern versions of traditional Scandinavian dishes. Some of the best steaks in town. Service: most restaurants still seem to be short-staffed, but Tullibee's service is always great. Ambiance: pretty cozy with an open kitchen with a wood-fired grill. Half the space is a bar area which is usually pretty busy, and the other half is the restaurant which is not usually crowded though still a bit noisier than you might want if you're hearing-impaired. Price: pretty average for Minneapolis fine dining. Expect $100-$200/person if you do the full appetizer + entree + desert + several drinks.

    We ordered the fallen mule cocktails around the table because they were so good. The food was delicious but the serving sizes varied quite a bit. The mushroom risotto, for example, was generous while the butternut lasagna was a bit anemic. The roasted broccoli with walnut pesto is heavenly.

    We dined at Tullibee for the first time last night. Our server, John, was asked to surprise us with our entire meal and he made some great selections. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was romantic. Luis was attentive with our needs and all of the staff were very friendly. We will be back!
