    Our server, Rosa, did not seem to care about us at all. She was short and flippant with us, and once she took our order we saw her maybe 3 more times the whole night. She did not bring us any of our food or even our check, she offered us no water refills (both were empty), she barely stopped when she asked how our food was before racing off to other tables. Note - it was not busy at all and there were at least 5 other workers with her. Additionally, my "special" Alaskan Halibut was so bland and tasteless that I had to ask for salt and pepper to give it some kind of flavor. The brussels sprouts were the best part. My husband said his lobster roll dinner was good so thankfully there was one good thing. Honestly I was very shocked at how poorly we were treated at a "nice" restaurant while we watched our same server go give fully attentive service to her other tables. Ruined our date night and I would not reccomend to anyone.

    Because of COVID-19, we decided to have lunch outdoors.Ramone, was our server.. Ramone was great and he provided excellent service. We later came back for dinner and was greeted by another server named Neal who was also great. I'm so sorry to hear this place will be closing until next Spring. We will be back when this place reopens.

    Beautiful view overlooking Lake Michigan. Ate outside and was happy with the detailed infection prevention focus. Seafood salad was large and full of great sea food! The Brussels sprouts were delicious!

    Waitstaff very challenged; two nearby tables had similar orders switched - both had to wait while kitchen accomplished do-over. Visit late last year was fabulous experience. Surmise part-time staff and limited hours make things rocky.

    The food was delicious, and the view was amazing! We sat on the second floor next to the windows that overlook the lake facing south. The service was very professional and attentive. The restaurant even has two ornate sinks in the middle of the restaurant to make it convenient for patrons to wash their hands!

    The view from the restaurant is very nice, but the service and food quality was poor. We waited a very long time for lunch and then they brought us the wrong food. After it had sat in front of me for a few minutes (while we looked for ANY server) they took the food back and then delivered it to the table that had actually ordered it. Kind of disgusting in the days of COVID. They also didn't apologize and the server we actually finally flagged down to help seemed annoyed that we had asked for help. When I finally got the meal that I had actually ordered, they forgot to dress the salad and that was another wait for help. Very poor experience for the price of the restaurant.

    Great experience. Everything was fresh and delicious, restaurant was very clean. The chopped salad had a dressing that was soooo tasty. Shrimp was great. Peggy, our waitress, was very sweet, helpful and attentive. She held a great conversation with us, much appreciated. Highly recommend

    We went there for a birthday on July 4th. After we made a reservation for an outside sitting when went to the restaurant we were told that they didn’t offer outside sitting although we were asked when called to confirm if we wanted indoor or outdoor sitting. The waiter was good but when we ordered the deluxe grill, we had to return the meat as it was well done when we asked for medium rare and the rest was like eating sponge and rubber. The best thing was the sides. I would not recommend for special occasions but the sides were amazing

    Halibut was egregiously overcooked and dry. My seafood salad had no crab meat. Overall, very unsatisfactory. Yet memorable because of how bad it was; almost laughable.

    Nice Father’s Day treat. Five of us outside eating delicious food and drinks again. Picky son had a tasty steak. Mom and Dad an amazing spicy noodle scallops sausage thing that we ate for left overs the next day. Daughter gave thumbs up to fish and chips. Glad we are opening up our City and really enjoyed Riva.
