Chai Chaowasaree owner and Chef of Chef Chai at Pacifica Honolulu is recognized as one of Hawaii’s top Hawaii Regional Cuisine chefs. Known for fusing fresh Hawaii ingredients with the exotic flavors of Asia, Chef Chai has created a culinary style that reflects the cultural diversity of Oahu and the Hawaiian Islands.

To further strengthen the partnership with Hawaii’s local farmers and fishermen, Chef Chai co-founded Hawaii Island Chefs (HIC), the second generation of Hawaii Regional Cuisine Chefs. This group of HIC chefs is on a mission to provide the world with the best of Hawaii’s diverse culinary resources from the culture of the people and the bounty of the land and sea.

    We went to May’s wine pairing dinner. Excellent food, wine pairings and service. Also very informative on the wines served. Would go again 😋

    We went on 5/11/25 Mother's Day Lobsters all you can eat menu and they are worth the value, there are also many other foods besides lobsters. It was also my brother's birthday visiting Hawaii. High lights of the night was getting to meet, talk and taking pictures with the VIP Chef Chai! He was wonderful! Highly recommend Chef Chai!

    Went to the Mother's day all you can eat crab and lobster buffet. Everything was delicious and well presented. We love Chef Chai's

    We had a wonderful evening at Chai’s. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great from the hostess to the table servers.

    Server was fine. Kitchen delayed serving my wife’s salad at least 15 minutes after my hot appetizer came out. Three minutes after the salad came, the main courses were served. Food is first rate, but for a high end restaurant, I expect not to experience bad kitchen timing a being rushed.

    Our experience at Chef Chai was wonderful! We were seated at a window, with a view of the mountains. Server TJ was friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic~from the complementary chicken satay app to the sea bass that was a nice portion of really delicious fish, so tender and tasty. A great place to enjoy a memorable meal!
