L'oca D'oro significa "ganso dorado" y tomó su inspiración del sobrenombre de la hija del chef Tedesco, "Lucy Goose" (Ganso con suerte). El chef Tedesco ofrece una variedad de platillos italianos presentados en porciones individuales o para compartir. El restaurante utiliza ingredientes cuidadosamente seleccionados y de temporada, muchos de los artículos son preparados en casa, tales como la pasta que se crea de con granos frescos, pan, queso vinagres y licores. Wait staff was great. They checked on us often, but didn’t rush us at all. Food was exceptional. We had a fabulous salad. I wish I could remember its name. We are still talking about it. The Eggplant Parmesan and the Conchiglie pasta dish were both outstanding. My husband had the German Pilsner and I had the Tempranillo wine on tap, both very good. Can’t wait to come back.

Great meal, we loved the small plates and focaccia. Nice little spot and we’ll probably be back. Everything was so fresh. Favorite dish was the eggplant parm. Good cocktails too!

This experience will never be forgotten by myself and my friends. Every moment was exciting and filled with extraordinary bites and sips. Josh too care of us like we had strolled into his home ! Loved it!!

Amazing house made food, didn’t have a single bite we weren’t very highly impressed with. Fiore and the team do an incredible job! Will absolutely be back.

Service, food, atmosphere and patience was incredible. There was even an epic storm outside and then staff remained calm and attentive. Always so impressed.

We had a fantastic dinner at L'Oca d'Oro. The service was excellent, and the meal was delicous - great wine list, fresh house-made pastas, and fantastic desserts. Looking forward to our next dinner there!

We had high hopes for L’Oca D’Oca, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. Despite having a reservation, we waited at the front for over 5–7 minutes with multiple staff members walking past us without any acknowledgment. It wasn’t until a large group arrived behind us that anyone felt the need to check us in. I ordered an iced tea that never came. When I asked about it during our dinner order, I was told it still needed to be brewed and would take another 15 minutes. It felt like they wouldn’t have mentioned it at all if I hadn’t followed up. I canceled it—but then it was dropped off anyway, and even though they said it was “on the house,” it still showed up on the bill. On top of that, they tack on a 3% credit card fee and an automatic 20% service charge, which just added to the overall feeling of being nickel-and-dimed. I always tip generously—25% is my norm—because I truly value great service and know how hard the job can be. I don’t expect anyone to be over-the-top or inauthentic, but I do expect promptness, basic acknowledgment, and care. Unfortunately, L’Oca D’Oca really missed the mark. I’ll be sticking with Juniper or Red Ash for Italian in Austin—better food, far better service.
