Bistrot La Minette is the realization of Chef Peter Woolsey's dream that began over a decade ago during his earliest days studying in France: to create a restaurant that would share his love of the authentic bistro experience with his fellow Philadelphians. Great respect is paid to the traditional dishes that are created; and the classical French methods required to achieve unparalleled bistro cuisine. Both savory and pastry menus are ever evolving to reflect the seasons, the availability of the best ingredients and the inspirations of Chef Peter Woosley, who returned to Bistrot La Minette as Chef de Cuisine in 2023. The service, led by GM Maureen Marchiafava, is both efficient and warm, rooted in a foundation of hospitality and caring for our guests.

Our goal is for Bistrot La Minette to be accessible to all guests that enjoy superb food and wine, and the company of their companions: hoping to evoke their best memories-or dreams-of traditional French bistro dining.

We really enjoyed our time here. We brought family that was visiting from out of town and everyone commented on the great atmosphere. It was quiet so we could all catch up and actually hear each other. I didn’t think there were any quiet restaurants anymore! Lovely experience- and our server Ryan was phenomenal. The food was amazing- prepared well and plated beautifully. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a special occasion celebration, and intimate meal, or just a nice evening out.

Seriously I love this place so much. Every item you order just makes you smile and you’re like “wow this is the best thing I’ve ever eaten.. don’t think it can get better” and then your next plate comes and it does! Lovely service and just overall delicious and amazing place.

Our server, Ryan, was excellent. A kind welcome, a warm environment, and very quiet Wednesday evening. The food was overall good, not amazing. The seared foie gras was a bit stringy and under-done. The chicken was rustic, satisfying. The apple tartin was very good, and in an appropriate portion. The price was a little steep for good (even very good, at times) but not great food. The Bistro is on a quiet street and is a cozy place for a fall/winter meal. I would recommend.

Lovely delicious dinner as usual. Was very happy with our Normandy regional dinner. Always interested in trying something we would not normally order and found the Normandy dinner very good. I’m also grateful that they accommodated my mussels intolerance. I was happy to skip or order a salad in place of the mussels soup but they offered a lovely butternut squash soup instead. (My husband thoroughly enjoyed the mussel soup.) The cider pairing was also very nice. Another enjoyable dinner at Bistro La Minette.

Visited for restaurant week- a great meal. Our monkfish came out cold and everyone was very apologetic and corrected it right away. Everything else was perfect. Try the rice pudding- surprisingly amazing!
