Server was not friendly. I asked for a dirty martini with olives and she said there were no olives there was only olive juice so then I said OK could I please have a vodka soda with lime she came back with a vodka soda with lemon when I asked her where the lime was she said she’d have to go back downstairs if I really wanted it. My husband asked her what type of hard cell her they had she said she wasn’t sure but she could check if we really wanted. He said never mind and he ordered a ginger ale we ordered the pretzel bites and the chicken wings I asked if the buffalo chicken wings could come as tenders she said no which was fine but a little weird because chicken usually can come boneless or bone in however the blue cheese was delicious . The pretzel bites were completely burnt there was no salt on them the cheese sauce was good though We said we would just have that and get the check we ended up making a reservation for Livs right next-door we ended up going there and having the best meal .

Enjoyable dinner - good food, service was great and we ate outdoors. They have created a little area behind the restaurant with tables on astro- turf.

Steak and salmon dishes were delicious. Great beer selection. Eating outside was quiet and peaceful.

Great place to take the family for a meal. The food is consistently good, service is friendly and very accommodating to kids, and the prices are reasonable. One of our go-to restaurants in the area.

We had the Brussel sprouts, steak and frites. All delicious! My husband said his brandy old fashioned sweet was the best he’d ever had. Would definitely go back when visiting Old Saybrook.
