   After a couple of trips to San Francisco, finally made it to the Taddich Grill. Service a little slow at the beginning, but once the food started arriving, it got better and better. A delicious crab cake, the sole filets -one grilled and one pan fried- very fresh and clean tasting, and although not a “soup” guy, I really enjoyed the Cioppinos. Ambience a little noisy and dimly lit but part of the old school charm. Truly a great dinning experience

   Wonderful fun evening at Tadich Grill. The food is very good, traditional fair and generous portions. Old school attentive service and overall a great experience to enjoy San Francisco as a resident entertaining visitors.

   Server Brian S. was just great!!! Food beyond compare, as always, have been dining here for 55 years.

   We were early for our reservation and sat at the bar while we watched Linda making drinks. She is quick and professional and carried on a good conversation with us. Our server Jose was extremely professional and experienced with a great sense of humor. The food was outstanding. Cioppino, crab Louie, Chilean sea bass and Dungeness crab were cooked to perfection. Can’t wait for the next time I’m in San Francisco so I can go to Tadich Grille again.

    A good waiter makes or breaks a good meal. Sad to say our waiter Adam was less than stellar. He never asked us if we wanted a drink , never inquired about how were our meals until the end. My cioppino broth and seafood was great except the clams tasted rancid. I had to spit them out, I told Adam about the clams all he did was take the clams away. A different waiter asked me how are meals were I told him exactly what I told Adam but this waiter was sharp enough & told the restaurant manager. The manager Alexis ( I think that was his name) came by to discuss my issue. He offered to comp deserts. The upside of the meal was my wife’s Branzino whole fish & ceasar salad were awesome. She made it clear to the manager how great her meal was. Interesting when we booked our reservation we said we were celebrating our 36 year wedding anniversary nothing was ever said to recognize our special day. So two strikes against our waiter who acted as if he was waiting on tables for the 1st time & no anniversary recognition. Overall our waiter needs to pay attention to all the little details a good waitperson knows both learned & instinctively. Will we come back to dine probably not.
