   We first tried Canderlari’s during HRW in the fall of 2024, which we enjoyed very much. We went back last night and were quite pleased that it was just as good as we remembered from the first time. We will definitely return.

   Then waitstaff is excellent and the food is delicious. Compared to most white table restaurants, it’s a value, EVEN OUR BOTTLE OF WINE WAS NOT OVERPRICED!!!

   Even though we had reservations, we had to wait for a table. One of guests ordered a pizza with chicken and a pepperoni pizza was delivered to her. They took the wrong pizza back and she had to wait ten more minutes for the correct pizza.

   We love this place and come here almost every time we come to Houston. We try to sit outside in the patio when we can.

   I’ve been going to Candelaris for many years, but they’ve recently made some significant changes to their service and staff, it really feels like a high end Italian restaurant now- the service tonight was top notch. But it’s still very much a local’s spot. They have upped their game and it shows.

   They weee accommodating with our group and set a new table for us to avoid sitting on a high top table. The food was amazing and they refilled our drinks. Great local place to dine
