   The Rusty Pelican has great food and cocktails. It was Mother’s Day so it was very busy and the amount of children there made it pretty loud. The staff were so patient and friendly. The service is excellent.

   Another superb dinner at Rusty Pelican on a very busy Mothers Day. My wife had salmon, which glistened. I had Sea Bass with a crust skin. We were seated outside which is quieter than the restaurant with beautiful views of the water. This is one of the best fish eateries in Newport Beach.

   Anniversary brunch. Whole experience was wonderful. We will be back. Need to try the rest of the menu.

   Service was just horrible! After sitting there for 15 minutes without one soul coming to our table, I had to go back to the hostess to find out where our server was. Even after that our first drink took 40 minutes to come out. Got our appetizers before drinks. Half the tables were empty so it’s not like they were super busy since it was 10 AM. My daughter‘s food never came out, requests were constantly forgotten. Definitely wasn’t the best experience!

   Our server was great, food was good. The view from the outdoor dining was very nice unfortunately a large party with small children was very loud and unruly spoiling an otherwise great evening

   Food and service were superb. Main issue was the party of 14 women next to us. Noise was through the roof and I could not hold a conversation with my wife. Too loud.

   We LOVE this restaurant so very much. The minute you step into the spacious foyer of the restaurant you can feel how comfy cozy it is. Surrounded by all things ocean related, you are already taken on a sea worthy vacation. The views of the canals, bay and then ocean are all in front of you. We always eat on the outside patio, we love seeing all the boats float by. There is always a wonderful and colorful show of boats enjoying the water. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and happy and welcomes you into your beautiful experience. The restaurant chefs are just amazing and have been there for decades, so the food stays pretty consistent and absolutely delicious. The home made soups are my favorite. Creamy and full of seafood be it clams or crab. The fish offerings are so very fresh and full of flavor, even the cheeseburger is plump and tender. You cannot go wrong with what you order.

   Lovely outdoor dinning along the turning basin in Newport Beach harbor. The Salmon in lobster sauce with shrimp was outstanding. The fish was cooked perfectly! Not over done like so many restaurants. The sauce was a smooth and tasty reduction sauce, no thickeners added. The striped seabass over mashed potatoes was superb. This restaurant has a real chef in the kitchen who knows what he is doing with sauces and preparation. The service was great. We topped off our lunch with the almond mocha mud pie. Save room for the dessert as you will not want to miss it!

   Our wait service was fantastic and food was good. The cioppino was yummy, the mussels were our least favorite. The coconut shrimp was delish!!
