Cold bland beef fat french fries. Super greasy short rib sandwich. Abnormally small fish with the fish and chips. Drinks were so-so. The Cobb salad with Michigan salmon was 5 star though!

This is a very decent place to go for a casual bite. My burger was really quite good and cooked as I requested. The highlight was how hospitable and attentive the staff were. I would make a repeat visit when in the area.

The food was fine. The steak in the steak and eggs was definitely undercooked and I got the wrong toast (ordered rye, got wheat), but what can you do. Coffee was good. This place was woefully understaffed, though. They had two servers covering a dining room that looked to be about 70% full. It took about 15 minutes to get a server to our table and, even then, he wanted to take our food order before taking our drinks order (and I really needed coffee) and he was definitely flustered. He was working hard, and I don't blame him for the staffing issue, but the manager seemed to be wandering around aimlessly and didn't seem to be helping in any way. While waiting about 10 minutes just to ask for our check, we approached the manager for some help and she simply said our server would bring it and then returned to wandering around the dining room with no apparent purpose. Zero situational awareness. A simple breakfast with a pretty limited menu took over an hour. We won't be back.

It's one of my favorite lunch spots. The food is delicious with a nice variety on the menu. My favorite is the salmon salad. The staff is lovely and gracious.

Only come here if you have to. The hotel has a captive audience. Otherwise I suggest you find a better place nearby. I ordered smoked salmon and there were so few slices it was laughable.

Pretty good for a diner in a hotel. Not sure why but the waitress Hali microwaved a cup of coffee before she brought it to me. Yes, it burned my tongue. It’s very noisy in this restaurant as it contains all hard surfaces. The lox were fresh and plentiful. The bagel was a doughy knock off and not a real bagel.

The service at Columbus Tap is absolutely the worst!! We sat at the bar for over 20 minutes and finally got greeted then asked for menus and were handing a beer menu with a QR code to scan for the food menu. Then the bartender walked away and guess what???!!!! The QR code would not work on either of our phones and we waited at least another 20 minutes until we could get someone’s attention!!! Just deplorable!!! Do Not waste your time here nothing there was worth it!!!

Noon reservation; seated at 12:10. No server until 12:30 and placed our order. Ended up leaving at 1:10 because our lunch break was over but our food never came. If they don’t have the staff to handle a busy lunch rush then don’t fill all the tables. Close half the restaurant. Your employees cannot succeed in the current environment and you are ruining your reputation

Unfortunately, our server seemed to be very overwhelmed and was somewhat rude. I know everyone has bad days but they did not introduce themself, seemed frustrated that we didn’t know what we wanted to drink, appetizer, and eat within 1 minute of sitting down, and did not check on us after food arrived until we were done eating. We needed refills on drinks but were not able to get their attention for the entire duration of the meal. I’m assuming this was a one-off and just a bad day for them. Otherwise, the food was great and it’s a nice spot.

. We were in Chicago for a half marathon and 5K. Stayed at the Fairmont booked dinner reservations at the taphouse. Lobster mac & cheese was amazing, brussels sprouts were delicious and pretty much everything was yummy.

The overall ambiance of this place is good - they have a good menu selection and of course lots of beers and cocktails to try which was our main reason for coming! The service was super slow - so it was hard to try all the wonderful beer selections we wanted. The food was just okay. Definitely a pricey experience. We paid about $650 for a table of six people. Not bad since there were many drinks had, but the entrees felt expensive for how they ended up tasting. We had dinner at 7:30 on a Friday. There was a live band we didn't know about that played about three songs and then (thankfully) stopped. It was so loud, we couldn't talk. We must've caught the tail end of their show - just keep that in mind. It was alright, but I'm not sure I would go back or recommend to someone when there are so many awesome Chicago spots.

It was okay. We went for breakfast and it was very overpriced for very average food. My husband ordered the oatmeal and the waitress asked if he wanted berries with it. After he said sure, we see she charged him for the $10 berry bowl entree. Wasn’t the end of the world but spend your money elsewhere.

Food is solid (nothing spectacular or unique), which makes up for the incredibly subpar service. Clearly still trying to recover from covid issues with staffing and quality services. Very noticeable. Just like everything in downtown area, the prices are off the charts unreasonable. $17 for a cheeseburger? Lol.

Excellent service. I asked to wrap my partially eaten lunch. He took it back and said they threw it out by mistake and were remaking the meal. So they gave me a new lunch. Excellent waiter.
