    Dined at Hemenway's for a Birthday celebration on a Sunday afternoon. The host was extremely professional and personable. Amy our waitress was very attentive and has a great personality. My husband had a ginger Mocktail which he found very refreshing and aromatic. We started with the calamari which was delectable with a light aioli. I had the Milanese flounder which was lightly battered and had small vegetables. I found the dish very flavorful and there were two pieces of flounder. My husband had the swordfish which he enjoyed. He had the chocolate torte for dessert and there was a candle. The decor in Hemenway's is a classic fine dining ambiance. I understand that there is a business casual dress code but there was a family dining who were attired in t shirts and shorts. Why were they dining if they did not abide by the dress code? The man was not wearing a collared shirt but a t shirt, shorts and flip flops which is more appropriate for a seafood shack on the beach. I would suggest posting the dress code outside at the entry.

    Hemenway’s is the perfect place to celebrate! We told them it was our anniversary and they set our table with rose petals and the staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate! We enjoyed the local oysters and no one does a whole fish quite like Hemenways! Between the food, service and overall vibe, you can’t go wrong!

    Hemenway’s was fantastic. It is always excellent - the dinner was superb, the service outstanding and the ambience welcoming and beautiful! Thank you for a lovely experience as usual.

    We love this place. For the last few years we just go to the bar and eat there which is a nice spot. Always attentive bar tenders, obviously liking what they do. Even when the place is jammed and no tables are available for reservations there seems to be a couple seats at the bar at the very least. And it goes without saying that the food is always fresh and delicious. You pay for that for sure but if you’re willing to fork it over it’s always spit on. As a side, the shrimp cocktail is literally the best around. And we’ve tried! Again, $4.50 per but SO good.

    Such a gorgeous place! The ambience had a natural, romantic vibe and is a perfect date spot or relaxing dinner with family scene. Make sure you go!!!

    Ate outside which was nice on a beautiful day. Oysters Hemenway's were awesome as well as the baked stuffed lobster fishermen style. I would definitely recommend it.

    Really good. I got the sirloin and my mom got the salmon, both executed fantastically. Service was top notch.
