   Wonderful meal and experience. Highlight for my wife was the French onion soup. Incredibly deep flavor. I had the strip bass entree and it was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. My wife had the filet. It was a nice cut of meat but we prefer our steaks with a bit more char to them.

   Fantastic experience! The food was exceptional. The service was perfect. The dining room was amazing. I highly recommend the Union League Cafe!!!

   Acoustics of the room when mostly booked, makes a conversation between just 4 people at a table difficult.

   It was a very busy Easter brunch. We felt rushed to order, but our empty plates were left for quite some time due to the lack of staff. The desserts came so quickly after the main dish, it was unprofessional. The waiter didn’t even ask if we wanted coffee with our dessert. The table was messy from the bread and was never cleaned before the main meal. It’s normally not like this. Our water even apologized for the lack of service. Not the exceptional experience we are used to having at Union League.

   Absolutely lovely 😍 everything tasted amazing we had the assortment of cheeses, the salmon and steak with sides of fries and mushrooms easily one of the best salmon I've had and the mushrooms were to die for no one makes them that good! For dessert, we had the vanilla passion fruit souffle it's not my favorite souffle, but I am picky about my passion fruit. It was cooked to perfection very good I can't wait to try other flavors.

   The Union League Cafe is the best dining experience in New Haven. I took a visitor from LA there, and, as always, everything was outstanding. Great service. Warm, delightful wait staff that was always available but did not hover. Fantastic food. And the soufflé for dessert was incredible.

   Very very slow service even though very few tables occupied at lunchtime when we ordered. Spouse ordered salmon “medium”; came out underdone and barely warm. I ate my entire meal before his “recooked” salmon came out. We’ll never be back. Very disappointing experience.

    We declined the table initially offered to us because it was isolated in the path of servers and other patrons. Bottom line, there should not have been a table there. This caused a delay of 30 mins. They offered to have us sit at the bar which was not our choice. The menu offered several appetizing choices. The server was knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. The food arrived promptly and was well presented and delicious. If you order the still water you should realize it will not be tap water and for our party of 4 it cost an extra $30..
