Food was either under cooked or over cooked. The food quality has declined tremendously. The same very tall chef that brought us food another time I visited, served us again. Unfortunately my experience was poor again. Burned hash browns, undercooked wet hush puppies and hard dry biscuits. 0/10

We made reservations for lunch well in advance of Mother's Day. We were put at a table in the private party room with several other tables, which was quite disappointing because that room is tiny and blah. The hostess was rude when I asked if there was a different table we could use in the main dining room. She said we could wait for a different table if we wanted to, but she would not even try to estimate how long that wait would be. The special menu from that day was quite limited. There was nothing on the menu about the Mother's Day boards I'd been receiving emails about for two weeks. When I asked the waitress about them and showed her one of the emails, she said they only had one such board available. All the other pictured boards were just to make the offerings look more extensive than they were, I guess. My food was cold and way overpriced for what it was. The only good thing, in my opinion, was the appetizers we ordered (hushpuppies and avocado street corn toast). I definitely won't be going back, which is a shame because I used to like this place although I admit it had been months since I'd been there.

1st off, weather was terrible and we were running late. Called the restaurant and let them know our ETA had us getting there late for our appt, and they were nice and said, "No Problem," which we appreciated! Upon arriving, roughly 10min late for the appt, we were promptly sat, without issue. Wait staff came fairly quickly, on such a busy holiday, Mother's day, and food ordered came pretty quickly each time we ordered, as well! Great food, great experience, would certainly go again!

They seemed to be a little bit understaffed, but that's a problem plaguing many restaurants these days. Our bartender and waiter were great, if a little slow, and the food was delicious. We all had a wonderful time, and we will definitely be coming back.

Horrible, horrible service! Jacqueline the sever is the absolute worst server ever. The restaurant staff was not respectful to my family about what Jacqueline did. Jacqueline served us burnt gumbo then had an attitude when we told her. She brushed off everything. When the check came, she lied to us saying there was a system update and everyone got charged the "same" amount. In all reality Jacqueline SWIPED everyone's card a second time to get her tip amount, which was not a problem at all. The issue was her lying and making up a whole story saying a the computer updating everytime she swiped the cards. Do not go to this State Fare restaurant!!! I should've went to the Woodlands location like I normally do.

Did a brunch here with some friends on a Saturday. We were a party of 4 who went for the brunch cocktails (bloody mary and strawberry frose) plus the spicy margarita; all of which were tasty. Fried green tomatoes is their best appetizer. Comes with five, tomatoes are perfectly fried and crisp and topped with a lump crab topping and hot pepper over some remoulade; excellent flavor balances and texture! Brunch entrees are good but pricy. Poached eggs on crab cakes and bbq shrimp & grits were both tasty although at 27.50 each, were quite high. Crawfish and creole benedict is delicious and very rich with the sauce but was expected. Hipster Cristo = amazing with the powdered sugar; might’ve been our most favorite dish. Excellent service and clean interior although noise level is more than what we’re used too. Would return again for brunch but maybe do outside seating.

Came here for my sisters 50th bday. As usual everything was amazing! I had the pesto grilled cheese and added bacon to it, this sandwich never disappoints! They’re frozen flights also on point, my favorite was the ocean water a must try!

The service has went down tremendously since it first opened. I hadn’t been in a while and I live really close. Some friends and I decided to give it a go again, and the service was just not up to par. We went at 12:15pm this past Saturday, we waited about 15/20min for water, and our waitress. Afterward she took approximately 15-20min between ordering drinks and food. This wouldn’t be a problem had it been packed out as it typically is, OR we saw her actively assisting other tables. This was not the case, she was standing directly in front of us by the bar. Sure helping out behind the bar here and there, but she was not needed. We could not place orders, or ask for small things needed so she wouldn’t be overwhelmed by us requesting so much at once. Unfortunately, we had no choice since we just weren’t sure if she’d come right back or not. She was very sweet, and maybe just an off day but when you’re a faithful customer you can immediately see the difference in a lot. Including the food quality. Experience was great, and I enjoyed my girlfriends, the service could’ve been just a little better.

First of all our server took 30 minutes to bring My Husband coffee and his liquer drop. Our food was cold when brought out had to send back. The waitress dropped a plate of food on floor. Plate broke ,glass and food flew everywhere. Just not a good experience at all. Visit restaurant very seldom and not a great experience at all. Then she charged us for Geand Marier and we had Kaylua. Six of us went for Easter Brunch. The place is nice but very, very loud. The service was very good. Drinks were good. Portions were large but food was very average. Crab cakes were just a bit on the fishy side. Hash browns were not cooked well and very mushy on the inside. Cat head biscuit was like a brick. Valet parking was really awful. We ended up getting our keys and driving away on our own without their help. There are way too many good restaurants in Houston, so we will not return here.

Came for brunch for 6 and sat at a round table. It was impossible for us to hear one another talk because the acoustics are so bad in there. It also took a long time for the waiter to take our drink and then food orders. The food was decent but nothing incredible. We were there celebrating a birthday which I noted on my reservation but they didn’t acknowledge it in any way. It was not the celebratory family brunch experience I was hoping for.

I’ve gotten the shrimp Louie salad every time I’ve gone. It seems like it was smaller than before, and the shrimp were definitely not the larger shrimp that I’ve had in the past. My husband loves his chicken fried steak.

Waiter was almost non existent after we ordered food. We had to clear our own table so we weren’t staring at the food for an hour while we still enjoyed drinks. We had to take our checks to someone else so we could pay after waiting for way too long.

When we arrived we were not greeted. Took a minute for hostess to seat us. Sat for 15min with no service until I walk to the wait staff area and ask if we could get some assistance. Quickly a waitress from another area came over and she was phenomenal. She explain several options and waited on us the remaining of our visit. Thank you for saving my bday celebration.
