Después de años de búsqueda intensiva de una ubicación para abrir un nuevo restaurante tras su éxito con Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse, los propietarios Hugo Ralli y Steve Lombardo encontraron lo que estaban buscando delante de sus narices. En febrero de 1997 pusieron en marcha el Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House, el equivalente en el marisco al legendario Gibson de Chicago. Groups will have exclusive access to the entire semi-enclosed Frog Pond which includes several high top tables, chairs and banquette seating. Order a la carte from the regular menu or indulge in Hugo’s Happy Hour specials, including half-priced bottles of wine, oysters, and firecracker shrimp, and enjoy a complimentary glass of prosecco for everyone in your group!     Food was really good, place was hopping, noisy but good noisy. Raul the server was the best part. So friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great advice on the menu. The frog legs were delicious and the salmon was simple but cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back.

    The good points......it is inexpensive with portions being very generous and the food very tasty and of high quality. The service is also sharp - attentive friendly and speedy. It's very good value for money in a big city. The let downs - it's huge. It has hundreds of covers and the spaces between tables is uncomfortably poor. It's therefore as noisy as hell which makes the whole experience unenjoyable. If you're in your 20's and want an affordable dining out option then it's the place for you. You can shout at each other and it's affordable from your wages and pocket money. Having seen that Gibson's steak house is next door and part of the same place, I cancelled my reservation for there in a few days, in favour of a more refined and classy establishment that will hum with conversation but serve the overall experience that we wish for. Summary - get rid of some tables and it would improve dramatically.

    had the beef barley and fish soups, w snapper, very good. The key lime pie was giant and decent in flavor, could be more tart, good crust, crazy amounts of whipped cream. Great wine selection, pricing is good

    Loved this place! Rene, our server, was attentive and gave excellent guidance. Never knew I could love sauteed frogs legs! The Bookbinder soup was phenomenal and the Dover Sole melted in my mouth. Will be back.
