   Excellent food, delicious cocktails and great service. A tradition since it was Arches restaurant. Unfortunately the noise level makes it difficult to have any sort of meaningful conversation at the table. Also, we arrived before dark and could barely make our way to our table as the lighting was so dim. It did get brighter after a bit but not enough to read the menu with the lite on my phone. That aside we will try it again, just not on a Friday night.

   We had the most amazing experience at A Restaurant. The ambience was amazing, we were lucky enough to sit next to the fireplace. Our server was exceptional, and so was the manager, Brenda. One of our best dining experiences in the Newport Laguna area we’ve ever had. We will definitely come back next year. I had the filet, which was perfect. My husband had the Alaskan halibut, again perfect and their chocolate mousse dessert was heavenly.

   Halibut is back! Crudo is back! Pork Chop is off the charts! Deserts need some work. Steve is the best server you will ever have.

   The bar was hopping when we arrived at 6:00 Friday night. We were seated in the dining room and could see the fireplace burning. Jeff was our waiter, very professional and up beat. He knew the menu and wine list inside and out. Quite refreshing to finally see after COVID. We would highly recommend this restaurant, but make a reservation. I rebooked a dinner for guests arriving the following week.

    This was my 2nd time to A restaurant. The food was amazing. The service was great. I would have wanted a few more options on the menu (no Shrimp options) but everything we had was worth it. I will be back sooner this time.

    Overall, we had a great night! Our reservation was for 8:15 but we did not sit until a little after 9pm. One hostess was great the other said some pretty ridiculous things. Food and drinks hit the spot.

    Everything was great. We were planning to go and just snack. I instead opted to get a steak, unfortunately as they took it back to box, it got lost. No big deal though it was the end of a long night and and our awesome waiter took care of it. Been going to this place since I was a kid and It never disappoints. Big shout out to Jeff who corrected the bill and was more than generous it making it another great experience! Cheers

    Excellent service and the food was outstanding! We celebrated a birthday yesterday and had a fussy toddler with us. The server was able to immediately calm down the toddler and was exceptionally caring throughout the meal. What a talented team! Our party guests have great memories of this dinner and we will definitely come back!

    Our first experience at A Restaurant was incredible. Lively atmosphere along with excellent service & cocktails. Meatball appetizer and Chicken Piccata with Mac & Cheese shareable side were all great from the first bite to the last!

    My family and I had the best time. The service was amazing as well as the drinks and food. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Must haves are the mushroom soup, ribeye and chicken piccata.

    Rib eye was not properly cooked but still good. Shareable mash potatoes and mushroom portions were very small. Taste was good. Over all, overly too expensive for a dinner. Check was almost 600 for a party of 2.

    Wife’ s salmon was perfect, my sea bass was over cooked. Glad I like cucumbers because there were more of them than palm hearts in the hearts of palm salad. Drinks done well and service was impeccable
