Desde 1922 el restaurante The Arches ha sido un lugar elegido para cenar con elegancia en Newport Beach. everything was amazing! from the bread to the main dishes (filet especially) to the sides (potato puree and street corn), phenomenal meal and ambiance. Also Stacy our server was fantastic! Definitely will be eating here again!

Wonderful venue for special event, great ambiance, fantastic food, can be a little loud with the folks in the bar adjacent to the dining room, but worth it.

We had a 6pm reservation and we were seated promptly! We ordered an appetizer and our drinks! When we were finished and placed our dinner order, our server told us it was going to be a while and that we should order the Caesar salad to share which we did (we sort of felt compelled to) even knowing that we were going to have way too much food! Well it did take a long time and in fact we did not get served our entree until 7:35pm! By this time we were pretty full from the bread, appetizer and salad and ate a few bites before asking for boxes and our check as we had already been there 2 hours! The food was decent but definitely not worth the $300+ (including tip) for two people! We will not be returning!

What a great experience. The food is so good. And the drinks are amazing. The service is warm and friendly. The only bad thing is that the tables are a little small...or maybe we ordered too much?

Our favorite restaurant ever! Love the fireplace and dark, romantic vibe. Excellent waiters and service overall. Always busy; make a reservation early. Incredible food! Great cocktails and wine list. Surprised that the brussels sprouts were not crispy, it was like a warm, chopped salad, but not chopped, just very wet; it was very good, nice flavor, but not what I expected at all. Wish we weren't too full for dessert; next time!

The experience at A Restaurant is always the best and you’ll never be disappointed! Stacey our waitress was excellent and was perfect! We definitely will be coming back many more times!

A wonderful anniversary dinner with Old Hollywood charm We’re locals and had never been to A Restaurant, so we decided to try it for our anniversary - and we’re so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was incredible. We loved the old-school, red leather booths and dark, moody vibe that felt straight out of Old Hollywood. The cocktails were spot on — I had a dirty vodka martini that was made perfectly. After dinner, we moved to the bar to soak in the lively, intimate atmosphere there. Highly recommend doing the same. We started with the crab cakes, and they may have been the best I’ve ever had - full of flavor and not overly breaded. For our entrées, I had the scallops (note: you only get three, but they were perfectly cooked and delicious), and my husband had the Hangar Steak, which was excellent. We shared the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, both great sides. Pro tip: ask for bread for the table - it’s worth it! Our server was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. A lovely surprise was the complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. Which was a nice and thoughtful touch. If you’re looking for a quiet night out, just note that this isn’t that kind of spot. The dining area is small and gets lively quickly. It did get a bit noisy as the booths filled in, but we enjoyed the energetic vibe. We went on a Monday night and were surprised at how packed it was, clearly a favorite among Newport Beach locals. We’ll definitely be back - whether for a full dinner or just to hang out in the cozy bar with appetizers and cocktails. A fun, memorable night out!
