Artu was founded on the most basic Italian technique, great ingredients, simply prepared, that is what Artu is all about.

In February of 1992 Artu opened its doors to the world, starting with outstanding sandwiches and mouth watering roasted meats, we continued to evolve and grow. Since then we have steadily added to our repertoire. From those sandwiches and roasted meats, we have produced old-world comfort food dishes to current interpretations of those classics that still make the most discerning eater reminisce of their childhood.

    Few homemade pasta selections, although once selected was well worth it! Ambiance was great although setup of restaurant was different as to be expected in Boston. Prices were surprisingly fair would recommend!

    It was 95 degrees outside and the AC didn't work in the dining room. We were all sweating profusely. The food was ok but being an eggplant parm fan it was not good at all. The sauce had no taste. Bummer. The arugula salad app special wasn't great either. Disappointed. Italian food is usually great in the Northend. Maybe that's why there were only 2 other tables

    When we decided on trying this place the reviews knocked the noise level and service. Overall food reviews were great. I get the noise level knock as there was a group of the most annoying girls in Boston at the bar. Even the hostess agreed they were loud and annoying. It would have been nice if management told them to take it down a notch. Let's address the service...our waiter Lorenzo (and the hostess) were TOP NOTCH. I always take service knocks with a grain of salt as it makes me wonder, who is the real problem, the customer or the server. Our service experience was great. As for the food...lobster rice balls were good, stuffed zucchini flowers were very well done. Linguini with clams sauce was also very good. My only knock would be price point...but it wasn't offensive.

    Nice atmoshere. Our waiter was excellent. The squash blossom app was delicious. Our eggplant parm and veal dishes were just ok based on a Northend standard. We will however give it another try soon.

    We had a fun and delicious meal at Artu with out-of-town friends. Our server, Connor, made the menu come alive with his descriptions and we had so many tempting options to choose from. Almost all of us chose one of the daily specials and we were not disappointed. The food was so fresh and delicious. Connor took great care of us throughout the meal and we left full and happy. Thank you Connor and the Artu staff!
