    We ate here before a show at the Symphony. Food was very good, portions are moderate which I like. Healthy options available. I’m not a huge fan of the location near hotel lobby - but loud and echoey and lacks something for ambience. Service was excellent however.

    Palmer House bar area is so beautiful- it’s not to be missed. Dinner at Lockwood allows you to see and experience the beautifully restored lobby area, yet “duck” into a quieter space for a meal, and taste the famous (and delicious) brownie.

    Second time I have eaten here prior to Symphony. The service has been outstanding on both occasions and it is very convenient to Symphony Center. My sole objection is that there is not a vegetarian option on the menu. Vegetarians can order three vegie side courses but this does not provide protein. Come on, Hilton, get with the times!

    Great place to go before symphony. Had a drink in the beautiful Palmer house lobby first. Delicious! Food was solid, service excellent and quiet atmosphere made conversation easy.

    Ordered the filet & frittes. The beef had no taste whatsoever, in fact it was a cheap cut of gray matter. The French fries were good, but barely warm. The creamed spinach was decent, but could have been warmer too. This place was NOT worth the money and we only went because of it’s location. We will not be returning. I know many years ago the Palmer House was a wonderful place, but not anymore.

    We went for NYE. Perfect night: food out of this world, waiters such a great service and the place was stunning. Nice music and decoration. We will come back soon and yes yes yes we recommend this place!

    The lobby of the Palmer is beautiful. The Christmas tree was amazing. The food was ok and the waiter was polite and attentive but not amazing. I’d go back but I won’t rave about to my friends.

    Typical hotel restaurant experiences. Once we finally sat it took about 15 minutes for someone to greet us and take our drinks order. His excuse was that there was a section mess up which we would have been more sympathetic to if they were busy or if he apologized. We never received an alcohol drink menu which sounds silly to leave out because that's what drive sales. And the food was mediocre. Order the Buffalo Chicken Salad and the chicken was lukewarm. My friend enjoyed her Salad with apples in it so that's redeeming.

    My husband and I went for Christmas dinner after seeing a special prime rib dinner on the menu. I’ve never been to Lockwood before but I had high expectations because the Palmer House is so beautiful. We were extremely disappointed with our experience here. The service felt like get in and get out as quickly as possible, the food was room temperature and not what was listed on the menu, and there were kids in pajamas running around yelling and carrying water guns pretending to spray people while their parents sat at the table ignoring them. The special was $45 per plate so I was expecting something truly “special” but I feel like I should have spent $15. This dinner was such a bummer. I’m frustrated with the money we spent here and the time we took to get all dressed up. Not worth it.

    The main course was fine. The ambience for the Palmer house was disappointing. Felt like I was sitting in a diner. Especially for the high price of a meal. Very disappointing.

    Christmas Eve dinner was mediocre at best. We are local and have enjoyed some of the other hotels for various holiday meals, and hoped the best for the Palmer House. However the food was uninspired. The prix fixe meal did not include a salad or appetizer, the meat that four of us ordered was not cooked as we had requested, everyone's vegetables were half-cooked, and potatoes were cold. The hotel and restaurant did not decorate much for the hotel other than one very large tree in the lobby.

    While the service was ok, I did not think it appropriate that a 20% tip was automatically added to the entire bill (including added tax) for a party of 7. In addition, I made a reservation in advance, but he hostess took a long time to find it! Later someone apologized for our wait.

    My husband and I have been here several times before and this is the first time we have been disappointed. The food was as always, great. The service was extremely disappointing. We had to ask for water, take silverware from another table because our server never brought us any and had to ask for a dessert menu. She assumed we just wanted the check, and never asked. The experience was disappointing but was a first at Lockwood.

    I would recommend Lockwood to a friend for the ambiance and beauty, and for some of the food. My whitefish toast appetizer was very good, but the pappardelle were doughy and had too little sauce/flavor. Service was a tad hard to find at times -- the wait-staff seemed overworked. The seafood bisque was ordered by some of my friends and they said it was excellent. The ambiance and the musicians (string players) were wonderful.

    They subbed veggies for pasta, I was very happy about that and the berries burrata and hummus is amazing. Our waiter got a bit lost at the end and we had to pour our own water that was sitting in a carafe next to the table after trying to flag someone down for a while we did it ourselves. But all in all it’s not a bad option before the show.

    Holiday afternoon tea did not meet our expectations. Tea sandwiches were terrible. White bread! Really? What was served to us as “Quiche” did not resemble any type of quiche I’ve ever tasted and it was ICE Cold. We Will not return. I do not recommend.

    Made reservations at 1230 last week before going to the theater, was seated right away. But then, after being served water, was ignored for around 20 minutes. Had to ask twice to get someone to our table. Lunch finally came at 1:27p, had to rush through to finish.

    We went here before Hamilton on a Tuesday night. Food was decent, just a bit overpriced ($6 for chicken added to a salad?). Server was nice and gave healthy wine pours. Atmosphere is decent albeit a bit dated... crowd was mixed. Overall not a bad spot for food before a show.

    I went to the Lockwood for holiday tea, and unfortunately, would not recommend the experience. The restaurant called me on three separate occasions to ask questions about my reservation over the course of three weeks, and then struggled to find my reservation when I arrived. While the food itself was pretty good and creative, the service was very much lacking. Our server was kind, but not attentive. It took a very long time to be greeted, served, and have our check brought out to us, all while the restaurant was not full/busy.
