We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary here. The Cypress Room and Island Vista are incredible. The atmosphere is everything you could ask for. The service is inviting and classy. We are eager to come back!

Our second time eating here and on both occasions the entrees were tasty and well presented. There are very few moderately priced restaurants in the area that serve quality American fare. The menu is somewhat small but offers fresh ingredients and more “American” fare than so many Myrtle Beach venues proving only low country or Italian options. Wine options were somewhat limited but adequate. Will be back.

The risotto by far the best I've had in a longtime. My husband said the she crab soup was sub par...not enough crab and not quite as thick as he would've liked. The ceasar salad wasn't bad the lettuce fresh but the cheese smelled old.

Thank you for a marvelous evening out !!! Our server Mr. Terry was superb and the meal of flounder and the seafood trio were delicious. The presentation by the Chef was extra lovely. Thank you Cypress Room We also had breakfast each morning and yum buttermilk pancakes and eggs benedict wow !!!

The hostess was awesome, then we were seated…15 mins later the hostess comes to our table to let us know someone would be with us. 10 mins later our server showed us, she was very nice. We ordered dinner because we knew what we wanted to eat. Husband ordered a drink, 10 mins later drink still had not arrived. We decided to dine somewhere else. I really was looking forward to eating at this establishment, but it wasn’t our night. Just wanted to share my experience.

I should have known that with the last minute availability compared to all the other restaurants in the area that things were going to be off. We were greeted by a hostess and I told her we had a reservation for a party of 5. She proceeded to walk us to a 4 top meanwhile almost every table in the restaurant was empty. I explained there were 5 of us and that was a table for 4. She looked confused and implied pulling up a 5th chair but she then walked us over to a bigger table. We were greeted by our server after several minutes. We ordered chips and salsa and a big basket of chips came out but no salsa. My sons entree came out wrong as well. My husbands steak wasn’t good and my entree just tasted strange altogether. At one point, I turned around toward the hostess stand and she was leaning and her bottom was completely exposed because of how short her skirt was which I found very inappropriate in a restaurant period but more so with children. Our server was friendly and tried hard but it was a very disappointing overall experience.

Our third time dining for dinner at the Cypress Room over the years and once again they did not disappoint. The food, service, and atmosphere were great for a nice family dinner. In addition, the singer/entertainer brought back memories of some great songs when my wife and I were younger. If you have not tried the Cypress Room for dinner, try it. Finally, if you have not stayed at the Island Vista (where the Cypress Room is located), it is also a great place to stay during your vacation.

Great ocean views and breeze, and the live music was really nice. The service was inconsistent, the person didn’t know the menu or paid attention when we advised dairy was a concern. The flounder was dry. The restaurant automatically added a 20% tip which we would not have given.

Loved the ocean view, brushetta appetizer (it's not just tomato, it was SO GOOD!), crab cakes and live music. The broiled seafood trio was just OK and the mashed potatoes were bland. Overall I would recommend and return.

First visit to the Cypress Room. Excellent service, our server, Hampton was attentive and helpful. We had the salmon special, very tasty but a tad heavy on the sauce. Impressive wine list, great view of the beach. We will be back!

Excellent experience. The best dinning experience during our stay at Myrtle Beach. I had a broiled seafood trio with mashed potatoes and asparagus/carrots that was simply outstanding. My daughter ordered the shrimp risotto dish that was fabulous. Great service and atmosphere. Ate outstanding on the veranda with heat ocean view and live music as a backdrop. Prices were very reasonable, especially given the quality, presentation and atmosphere. Highly recommend!!

Honestly our experience did not quite equal the other top reviews. Our server was semi knowledgeable and vague in describing the menu. Two of us had the chicken Marsala which was basically a breast of chicken with gravy. The shrimp risotto was good as was the buffalo chicken wrap. I’d say this was a 3 star restaurant. No more.

First time at the restaurant. Took the whole family and every meal was outstanding. Best dinner on the beach. My whole family wants to come back and stay at the resort.
