   Food was good. Server was dull and uninspired. Table wasn’t set up when we arrived even though the place was empty. Staff standing around seemed bothered when we walked in. Food is still good. Culture needs adrenaline push. Probably won’t go back because for the price you pay, you expect service.

   Expected to be wowed given it’s New Orleans and you don’t really expect average food, this was average Mexican. I find Bar Taco to be better on food quality and ingredients. Restaurant is fun and gorgeous art mural, but food is lackluster against this backdrop. Not sure if they do, but sourcing some local ingredients would be awesome and fresh. Likely won’t be back for repeat visit.

   We let the celebrity status get to us. The street corn was the best thing that we ordered. The tortillas on all the tacos we ordered were cold which I am not sure if that is how they are meant to be but I am used to a warm tortilla. The meatball taco and cauliflower taco were to sweet for our liking. The steak had an amazing flavor however the meat was tough to chew. We also tried el queso fundido which is amazing. Eat it right away though because it does not hold up well after 15 minutes. The chips and salsa had a really great flavor. We ordered guac which was also really good. We did get flautas which were good and I wish we would of just done that rather than the tacos. It is definitely a beautiful restaurant and an experience. Our waiter was really nice however the host did have an attitude.

   Excellent, bright and fresh! We had the Empanadas, Albondigas Taco, Louisiana Crawfish Enchilada and Mexican Street Corn. They all popped with flavor and were presented simply, but beautifully. The margaritas were awesome as well.

    Overall food was very good. The yellowtail ceviche was delicious, and I would highly recommend. The brussel sprouts were not "crispy" and not hot. My boyfriend and I also ordered tacos, and they came out extremely quickly (a little too quickly) and weren't hot. It felt like they were prepped beforehand and were just waiting for someone to order them. They were tasty and would have been so great if they were the appropriate temperature. We felt a little rushed throughout the whole meal and all the tables weren't full so I didn't understand the hurry. We were handed our checks before we had finished our drinks.

    I wasn’t even able to have the reservation. Showed up at the restaurant and they said it was going to be a long wait — even with reservations. What’s the point then? Had to leave and go somewhere else.

    My girlfriends and I love coming here for happy hour. Great margaritas and tacos! The empanadas are so yummy! The only thing I feel needs adjusting is the guacamole. It’s subpar for a girl from the Southwest :)

    We have been to Johnny Sanchez several times and always like it! Everything would have been just fine but someone from the staff began sweeping up in the area of our table. It was not closing time and I just thought that could have happened later. The dust that was/could have been stirred up was unnecessary. Other than that the evening was fine.

    Clean, simple and to the point. Menu was an easy read and helpful. I ordered the mexican rice, street corn, along with a carne asada, shrimp and meatball taco. The asada and shrimp taco were amazing! The flavors complimented each other nicely with not one note standing alone. The meatball taco, while having nice flavor, fell flat. The texture of the meatballs was off and everything else overrode their flavor. The rice was a nice compliment to them but nothing made it stand alone. The corn had a nice flavor perfectly roasted but a bit too moist for my taste. Would definitely try more from the menu

    It seems to be popular but the menu is pretty limited. Also, the tortillas for the tacos were a bit dry and like broke (they were soft shells not hard). Pretty interior. We didn't have alcohol but the specials looked good. We liked it but wouldn't go back with so many other choices in NOLA

    Really good to great Mexican food and drinks with marginal service. First Mexican restaurant I've been to that doesn't carry Gran Marnier for "Cadillac" margaritas instead on triple Sec or Cointreau

    Amazing experience and food. We first tried their food at Top Taco last year and the Meatball taco(can't remember Spanish name on menu) was insanely good. Awesome queso as well as other tacos. You will not regret eating there.

    I’m disappointed in this visit. It normally very good. Last year around the holidays they had a special cocktail menu that I was very much looking forward to when I visited for my birthday this year and they didn’t have it. Something changed with the cauliflower tacos so they were not good. Service was just ok. When I went here for my bday in the past they gave a free dessert but this time I didn’t even get an acknowledgement that it was my birthday even though I put that it was the occasion for us visiting. I put in the notes we wanted to sit by the window but we were sat elsewhere and had to ask to move.
