Our most recent visit to Nomi was bittersweet. It's a neighborhood favorite of ours. But it is rooftop, outdoors and November in Chicago. It is located in a hotel, which is very low in occupants. This was a celebration and a chance to say see you later.....The fabulous bartender/server (he did it all!) let us know that they were low on bar supplies and menu choices. No problem! We had the fabulous, reliable Nomi burger. It was perfect as always. As Covid numbers rise and restaurants are shut down to indoor eating, we are sad to see winter approaching. See you as soon as the weather improves and may we all be healthy and ready for a lovely night out.

For years, I have made NoMi a treasured spot for breakfast with friends to celebrate birthdays, but Sunday when I took my husband for the first time, it was SO disappointing. I didn't realize it was going to be such an impoverished experience. I know it is because of COVID that they have shut down their beautiful windowed room. We had a simple wooden table with a below average view of windows at the Peninsula. The food was like a Starbucks breakfast and the waiter overcharged me $10 on the bill. I hope this sad situation can return to its' beautiful self one day.

Birthday. The staff was amazing! Food was great and the ambiance was fantastic. So sad what Covid is doing to the restaurant industry. But...they still can hit it out of the park at NoMI.

Great service! Staff is very helpful, polite, and professional. Drinks were great. Food was good. Did have a slight issue and the food server addressed it right away. Will definitely be back. Very nice view. Love this place and recommend it. You can sit at the bar and relax or you can dine in or outside in the balcony. They have heaters outdoors for when it’s cold.

It was my friends birthday and although I go to Nomi often, the service was bad from the time we had a reservation and checked in to the part where we were seated and the service started. I asked the host to have a heat lamp as we were sitting outside and was told none were available and we had to wait. After 30 minute wait, we were seated and no heat lamp still. Clueless. The waiter came and we placed our starter, drinks and entrees (sushi) we received our starters and drinks in a timely manner however when we reordered new drinks about 30 min later... it took the waiter over 20 min to bring our drinks and it wasn’t super busy unless you call 10 tables in an outdoor patio busy with multiple waiters and other support. Lastly, from the time we finished our starter, it took almost 40 min for get our sushi... after asking the waiter why it was taking so long to, he showed up 3 min later with the sushi. Upon delivering the sushi, he asked if we wanted anything else from the kitchen... we hadn’t even eaten yet. Also, it was 9 pm or so and the kitchen is closing in a Saturday night at 9 pm? Very poor service and experience. It was my friends birthday and a frequent diner there. Very disappointed

Went for our 5 anniversary, informed them ahead of time, they did nothing special and didn't seem to know. For a special occasion type of place, it just didn't feel that special. The food was good, maybe even very good, but at the price point, we expected better service.

This is our favorite Bar and Lounge anywhere in the city. The service here is outstanding, and while expensive they truly appreciate your business and makes it worth every penny. The management staff is always on top of it helping their employees when needed and making their guests feel welcomed. Extremely fine finishes, clean, amazing drinks and food. Almost everything is house made here. Part and Parcel is my go to drink. Long term employees have been here at least since I started coming about 6 years ago. While other bars in the city may be similarly priced, Nomi attracts the type of crowd that does not cheapen the place.

They must have changed the menu after I made the reservations. I was expecting more French food and it was mostly sushi which was decent but far from French. They did update the menu recently so now you know what to expect. The noise level was fairly high, a lot of noises from the street carry up the side of the building.

This used to be one of our favorite spots. The setting is very chic, nestled within the high rise buildings of North Michigan Ave in the beautify Park Hyatt hotel. The food at Nomi has always been very high quality and delicious; however, we were quite underwhelmed at our dinner on Aug 31st. The sushi was not more than average, the accompanying sauces were uninspiring and lacking pizazz, the fish was ok, but not wonderful, the outdoor dining area was kind of unkempt, with spider webs next to our table and food stains on the stone floor. Sorry, but it just wasn't what it used to be.....

We had the false impression that dining at Nomi was going to be too fancy for everyday. But we were pleasantly surprised that the vibe was very approachable on the patio! Gorgeous views and perfect for social distance. My husband said it was a terrific burger and I loved my shaved Brussels salad. Way to go NoMi! My new favorite neighborhood spot!!

A fairly limited menu for outdoor seating, but everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! The outdoor tables are space 6-feet apart, the waitstaff was super attentive, and the expanded/full wine list is amazing. We got a special bottle of pinot noir with our dinner and it was exceptional!

We had a delightful lunch on the outdoor terrace with good salads and helpful wait-staff. It's a treat to be outdoors above the street level in busy Chicago. We wanted to be "socially-distanced" and the staff went out of their way to give us a large table that was not near anyone else. I look forward to more beautifully served lunches at NoMi.
