   I love this place. The menu isn't very extensive, but everything I have tried is delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and charming. Nearby parking is expensive, but that goes with the neighborhood. If you look around and are willing to walk a few blocks, you can find reasonable parking.

   Usually great, but my last visit was disappointing. And wouldn't you know, it was a time when I took guests. The service was pretty slow. It took at least 20 minutes before we got to order drinks. The food was slow coming out. Our waiter dropped off the food in the wrong places and left. It was difficult to get his attention. I ordered the steak and fries. The steak was very tough. It was served with a very small serving of spinach with a few mushrooms. I did enjoy the fries. The other diners had similar complaints.

   This is a great little spot. Nice, classic embiance. The food is above average in quality and fair in price. Ask for an inside table next to front windows and watch the world go by as you eat and drink. Nice bar.

   We tried this restaurant prior to a concert at Balboa Theatre and we were disappointed. I've eaten here before for lunch and it was good. But dinner this night didn't cut it. Service was poor (we saw another couple try unsuccessfully to hail down a waiter to pay his check) and it appeared only a few people were actually working the tables. It took forever to clean up the table next to us after a group of six left the table. Expensive for two entrees and one glass of wine. Won't go back.

   We sat out on the patio . . .wish there was a view of the street . . .had plants obstructing the view completely. We ordered a grilled salmon salad . . .good but the salmon was very pink inside . . .should of asked for more cooking. Restaurant seemed packed inside when we left.

   Disappointing! 2 friends ordered the pork chops & they had to be sent back, dry & tough. They exchanged it for salmon & had to wait a long time. They had to eat quickly because we were seeing a play. I felt bad because I suggested this place.

    First time guest, sat out on the patio for brunch. Our service was phenomenal!!!!! I believe his name was Louis, he was extremely attentive, glasses were never empty and he was very friendly. Will definitely be back! The beignets were to die for!!!
