   Once we were sat on the outside patio, we were never greeted by a server. We had to wave over what I'm assuming was the busser a good ten minutes after we sat, who did bring us water to get things started. The server still took quite some time to come over even after that and trust me this place wasn't that busy. Once drinks were ordered it felt like an eternity to get them, things were taking so long we ended up moving to the bar for faster service but that wasn't any better either. Bartender did make drinks promptly but offered us no menus upon sitting. Speaking of menus the items here seem very generic with no uniqueness, same thing you see at every restaurant so we didn't even order any food. Too many better rooftops in the DC area, I'd recommended anywhere else

   Booked a reservation for 2 pm for mother's day and what a SHAME. im so mad i brought my mother here! Came in at 2 and waited for over 30 mins just for a little glass of water, waited an additional 10 mins to order drinks - to where i was given a peach mimosa in the dirtiest glass ever. (heads up the fountain drinks are 12 dollars and have no free refills...) Had that remade - then took a trip to the bathroom and i couldnt BELIEVE what i saw! for a place that looks so nice on the outside , i did not expect the bathroom to be so disgusting! Our waiter was Jose ( no disrespect but he needs to be retrained or fired) , Jose came to my table and said "did the other lady take your order?" Sir why would somebody else take our order? your our waiter? anyways. we all ordered a sandwich with specific accommodations (like no pickles, sauces on side, etc) he COMPLETELY messed up every single order. Like tremendously. We all had to send our food back. Then he has the nerve to try to charge us $123, we said no, get the manager were not paying for this. Luckily a manager by the name of Nigel came in and talked to us and took care of our bill and apologized which we very much appreciated. Nigel said he works mostly night time so if i ever go back trust it will be at night. Overall other than the manager coming to help, it was a horrible experience! would not recommend!

   The food was good but you can tell it’s a new restaurant and it has some kinks to work out. Our food came before our drinks which was a bit weird.

   Booked a party of four for dinner on the rooftop patio since the weather was really nice. Two friends arrived early and were there for about 20 minutes before the reservation time. They weren’t waited on at all, and when the rest of us arrived, we were asked about water preferences. No drink order (we all wanted one) and then we just sat there while the one waitress for what seemed like the whole outdoor area was overwhelmed. Multiple employees that may have been servers walked past, nobody even looked at us. They seemed to have allowed a huge group (with children) to smoke weed which was stunk up the place and was completely unappetizing. We waited another 20+ minutes and nobody came to take an order so we got up and walked out. I approached the host desk to tell them how dissatisfied we were and that we were leaving and they didn’t seem to care at all. On top of this, they seem to have marked my OpenTable reservation as cancelled, most likely so I couldn’t leave a bad review for them. Really unfortunate that they seemed to have a relatively interesting menu for “bar food” and we didn’t get to try a single thing except a glass of tap water. Marcus Samuelson is known for warm hospitality and I would be ashamed to have my name on this place if I was him. They need to get it together. What an embarrassment.

   Cool vibe, awesome patio with views of DC. Staff gracious, kind and accommodating. Food is unique and delicious, plates were all beautiful.

   Staff was courteous and drinks were fantastic. Enjoyed the spritz drink. The food was meh. Ambiance was nice and liked the music it wasn't too loud.

   As a New Yorker and someone familiar with Marcus Samuelsson’s other restaurants, this was an extremely disappointing experience. I had high hopes, especially given the recent opening (April 16), but sadly, it felt rushed and underwhelming from the start. The food was surprisingly poor. When a restaurant can’t even get french fries right, it’s not a good sign. The only standout was the blue cornbread, which was unique and tasty — but everything else missed the mark. Even the drinks were just OK. What shocked me most was the lack of attention to detail. For a place that just opened, it already felt a bit dirty and disorganized. The ambiance lacked the signature vibe and intention that Marcus usually brings to his spaces. It honestly felt like his name was used for the branding, but the heart and soul didn’t make it through. The rooftop is the one thing it has going for it — the view and open air are nice — but unfortunately, that’s not enough to carry the experience.

   Drinks were good but very slow coming. Service was slow and poor. There was trash, a piece of paper the size of a dollar bill found in my wife’s salad. The salad was taken off the bill . We only had appetizers and a drink and we were there for 45 minutes. I am sure you’re going to do well and I’m skeptical if reviews are more than a formality. Good luck.

    Came for Sly’s opening night with colleagues. What a great experience in this brand new space! Delicious food, super welcoming team, fun cocktails, vibrant vibe, ridiculous views. Can’t think of a better rooftop view in the area. I’ll be back soon!
