We absolutely love Joeys! We have been to a few of them in Canada from Calgary and Vancouver but this one is the best! The upstairs lounge has the best vibe in the Bay Area and I love how it’s almost like two completely different restaurants between downstairs and upstairs. Thanks for another great experience.

While I give most categories 5 ⭐️ The staff was a bit inquiring. There were 4 different people asking how everything was. Also, please replace the glass salt shakers as it doesnt match the Peugeot pepper mills.

I wanted to clarify that *everyone* we encountered, from the hostess to the servers to the folks who directed us and made sure we got to the right place, were great. Every single person was helpful, smiling, and very, very nice. That being said..... the check-in process was confusing. You check-in then wait in a "holding space" until someone directs you to go upstairs. Once there, yet another person directs you to your table. The space itself is beautifully decorated, with the upstairs lounge being a wonderful outdoor/indoor space, perfect for a wam Californian evening. Our server was friendly, helpful, and very personable. We had a reservation at 6:00 pm and our orders were finally taken at 6:34 pm. The food was a huge disappointment. The sushi cone was uninteresting and the cone fell apart quickly. The bang-bang chicken AND the salad were both wayyyy too salty. The wagyu beef carpaccio was decently flavored, though I didn't expect it to be slices of beef. Drinks were fine - well made and refreshing. Would not recommend for food, except maybe for happy hour.

Food is not that good given the price, but that's the norm for dining in this part of Valley Fair. You're really paying for the ambiance and service, both of which are great.

Another perfect experience. Great food, service and ambiance. Yousef, Marina and Nora were great. Working my way through the menu - always pleasantly surprised and ready for my next visit!

Had a great experience at the restaurant! The food was delicious and the whole vibe of the restaurant was amazing. Our server, Logan, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back

The service was the highlight of our date. I left a note for the waitress in my reservation and she read every word! Even sat us with a view like we requested and mentioned the fact that my gf and I missed each other because it had been months since we last met (which I wrote in the note). Service and vibe was a 10/10 great place for a date or night out w/ friends!
