The food was incredible. Three stand out starters (appetizers) that are incredible: 1. Japanese Egg Plant. Let me say that I typically don’t eat a lot of egg plant, but the sauce and the way it was prepared, be ready for explosive flavors! Simply amazing! 2.) The Hokkaido Scallops lightly tempura fried was such a sophisticated dish, also with explosive flavors, which is an appropriate description of pretty much everything we ate. 3.) Red Fish Crudo … all I can say is. . Oh, my God!! Another amazing dish. My wife and I shared the black spaghetti. Best as I can describe it is as a high end or sophisticated comfort food. Didn’t had the explosiveness of the three dishes above, but let me say that it is a must try dish. It deserves the same kudos everything else we received! he desserts we tried were fabulous. The Panna Katta and the strawberry shortcake. We’re both out of this world! The strawberry shortcake used the same Brioche bun they have on the menu as a starter. It is excellent on its own, but perhaps they could have used a smaller piece in the dessert dish, because it was just a tad much. Finally, I’ve seen a few mixed reviews where people were very critical of a specific dish. All I can say is, perhaps they were having a bad day, or perhaps they are accustomed to having what they complained about prepared in a different way. My wife and I have done some extensive International travel and have sampled some great food in many restaurants. Some bad too … but let me assure those considering Fig for the first time: Get ready for an amazing experience in a place with a casual, yet sophisticated vibe! You can also tell that the staff is very proud of their restaurant, which speaks volumes. I give this place 5 Stars all the way around!

Amazing food. Very good and elegant. The food was well executed and refined. Cocktails were solid as well and wine list superb. Better than most in the area.

Great happy hour offering however service was hit or miss. They sent us the wrong items twice and we had to ask for our drink after ordering since it seemed to have been forgotten. Overall guessing working through finding their feet.

Not bad not great. Many of the dishes have nothing Italian about them but a few are good. Service was weird as everything came out at the same time, oysters last and they forgot about our drinks for 20min.

What an amazing Father's Day dinner! The food was brilliant and delicious, and the entire family loved it. The owner greeted us at the door and welcomed us in. We will definitely be back!

We celebrated our anniversary and it was delicious! The service was great and we loved all of our dishes and cocktails. They had several vegetarian options and my husband enjoyed his Rigatoni dish. They gave us a complimentary dessert with a candle to celebrate. We can’t wait to come back!

New restaurant to the Austin scene. Worth the Uber ride from Downtown. Food was exceptional with great attention to detail. The flavors were so well balanced. Will be a new favorite spot.

Stopped in for happy hour to check out some of the menu on small plates and as soon as I tasted the mussels and the mushroom arancini, I knew I would be a regular. Looking forward to digging deeper into the menu next time. Service and ambience fantastic as well. Shady deck makes outdoor dining a pleasure as well.

I was very impressed how the owner was involved when we checked in and checking in on us occasionally to see if we needed anything. Sarah was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable with the food and wine selections and very personable. This was the first time we visited and it was much better than the first Italian restaurant called Aroma. We will definitely come back. Chris Jones

Very good experience overall. Enjoyed the setting and was perfect for the occasion. Faculty was great to me and made sure I was taken care of. Will be coming back.
