   Great food except for tres leches dessert . It was just a cake with merengue glaze on top . Not the typical 3 leches we are used to . Otherwise food was great but a little on the pricey side

   Ricky was great! We had the sampler platter for 2 as an app and then the combo meal to share so we could try it all!! Amazing!

   Rushed Service Ruined the Meal We specifically asked for a pause between the appetizer and main course when placing our order, but the main arrived while we were still eating our starter. When we raised this with the server, the response was, “You’ve had it for 5 minutes.” The main was taken back to the kitchen and supposedly kept warm, but when it returned it was lukewarm at best and went back to the kitchen uneaten. It’s a shame — the starter had great flavour, but the lack of attention and poor timing completely spoiled the experience. I’d read similar complaints in other reviews but decided to give it a chance — what a mistake that was.

   This was a pleasant surprise. I honestly did not have high expectations for dining at the dated Flamingo, but I was overwhelmed by the level of attentive service and extremely flavorful cuban cuisine.

   The food was excellent. We had a group of five and followed the waiter’s advice to share/sample a variety of dishes. Prices were reasonable especially relative to the high food quality.

   The ambiance is good, so if you’re looking for an aesthetically pleasing place with pricey cute drinks then you’re at the right place. However, we were seated directly under a speaker which was a nuisance. Our waiter wasn’t that enthusiast either and she spoke to us in a constant monotone. We ordered an entree and a Cuban sampler. I’d recommend the Cuban sampler but overall our food was room temperature and wasn’t really worth it.

   I had the Pollo Havana 1957. That was simply amazing. I highly recommend it.
