   I would start a petition to get them to take that dry brine chicken off the menu . If they just fried or baked any regular piece of chicken it would have tasted so much better. Also I’d recommend they make that house made ravioli into an entree because that was the best thing we got served. Also , quit dry aging burgers and serving them medium rare. Get yourselves some quality beef and cook a regular burger patty . Keep that same presentation but COOK the burger. I feel like a lot of flavor is forfeited because they try too hard to make it look and sound good reading off a menu. And finally those dinner prices are too damn high for the quality of meals you’re serving. After receiving the check felt like the equivalent of throwing 230$ into a fire pit. Maybe this a more of a brunch spot because the pictures of brunch look way more appealing than that dinner in the Dark.

   Our server was amazing. Bottomless mimosas was hit. They gave you orange, cranberry, and grapefruit juice with it. Food was delicious. They are very mindful of your time and don’t rush you at all. You definitely get your money worth here. Will go back again.

    Visiting from out of state, this was our First time here. It was a great experience. The brunch was really good and so many different options to enjoy. The cinnamon pancakes were phenomenal. And the bottomless mimosas were a huge hit.

    Great space, varied music selections and interesting visuals in this former theatre. We had dinner here prior to meeting friends upstairs for drinks. Prices for dinner were a bit high; drink prices were exaggerated. Service was passable. I was expecting a hustling bustling environment but it wasn’t. We couldn’t get a reservation at 7:30 on a Thursday, but there were a dozen empty tables the entire time we were there from 7:15 on. Go figure. Food was fine, not a knockout. We had reviewed the online menu prior to arrival but it didn’t quite match when we got there. So plan B with choices. Upstairs was a different story. Although nearly empty, service was super attentive and engaged. Price of drinks is still exaggerated IMO but a good vibe and environment helped ease that. Lots of places to give your money away in this town. Consider your options.

    If I could give our experience more than 5⭐️s, I would!! Everything from the moment we walked in and were IMMEDIATELY seated, was top level! Our drinks and appetizers, through our main and dessert, were excellent. Our server was helpful and quite knowledgeable! We don’t live in Nashville, but next time we are here, another visit to Sinema is on the list.

    Food was delicious. Bottomless mimosas were delicious. Loved that you could mix your own drinks to your liking. Good value for what you’re given. Our service was lacking. Took our server 15 minutes just to come greet us and bring us water. He never explained what was on their menu, simply told us that it was family style and could have more of whatever we wanted. At no point in time did we know what food we would receive. We had to ask for silverware. We were served our food before we even received our drinks. Our party found that odd. We also had to seek him out to ask for more things. He was never rude or difficult- just seemed to be on a different planet or something. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the food! Would definitely come back if we are in Nashville again.

    Our service was very poor but then when we got the bill, 20% gratuity was automatically added. We then understood why the service was so poor, they didn't care because they knew they were getting paid regardless. Not good business.

    We went for our 2 year anniversary and the space was very pretty. That being said we waited an uncomfortable amount of time for someone to host us. We also came early to take advantage of their happy hour however they didn’t have a bartender or the bar open… so we were sent to our table instead where we were told the drinks would not go towards the happy hour special because we weren’t at the bar… (even though they didn’t have that open when they said they would) so we ended up getting stuck with paying full price ($18) per cocktail which is ridiculous. We had a very nice server who gave us complimentary champagne which was appreciated. The cheese board was highly disappointing with one of the cheeses being very difficult to eat and no bread to go with a spreadable cheese. Otherwise food was great. A decent experience just disappointing due to the fact we picked it over other restaurants for this special event and was let down slightly.

    It was a birthday dinner date. I have never visited Sinema for dinner, always frequented for brunch, and let me tell you something, the dinner was absolutely delicious!! I loved it!! You won’t be disappointed! The ambiance, service, food, and staff are top-notch!

    I’ve lived in Nashville part time for 10 years and dining had been a struggle for me as I’m used to being in a city with more options. I’ve often been disappointed in what I would expect has all the makings of an excellent dining experience so wasn’t sure what to expect with Sinema. Very pleased! Visually, I appreciated the ambiance, decor. A unique, tasteful, warm, dimly lit, work of art. The flow of the space gave comfortable and inviting and invoked curiosity and surprise. I appreciate they included a range of ethnicity with the photos of actors as that felt inclusive. Nice non-alcoholic beverage selections! Many places have mocktails now, but to see de-alcoholized wine on the menu was thoughtful. They happened to be out of the de-alcoholized wine the night I visited so I opted for a mocktail, Cry Me a Riverine (Amass Riverine, Blackberry, Lemon, Maypop Lemon Sparkling Water) which was just ok. My friend had the Me Without My Bike and it was just ok too. We weren’t blown away but very much appreciated the options! I’m veg. The server offered to have the entire tasting menu subbed with all vegetarian items which I thought was incredibly nice! I opted for the Agnolotti (hand formed ricotta-filled ravioli, sundried tomato beurre monte, roasted mushrooms, fried capers) which blew me away! Excellent! Everything about it was perfect. I could have eaten it twice more in the same sitting. I also had the Zucchini Croquette (pine nuts, au pivre sauce, baby arugula) and the Spinach Orzotto (like a risotto) and those did not blow me away. The croquette was ok. Didnt love the Orzotto - maybe because a few nights earlier I had eaten a risotto at Miel which was difficult to beat. My friend had the Scallop (pan seared spinach orzotto, lemon spinach mignonette, black garlic brown butter, fried capers) which she loved. Stuffed Skillet Cookie was a win! Women’s restroom is a must see! :)

    I am a loyal Sinema visitor and sad to say this visit didn’t meet all of our normal expectations- food was good but not phenomenal and our service was very attentive but we were charged for a child who ate nothing- didn’t even look at the food. Just felt things were starting to turn a different vibe and hope it was a one time occurrence.

    We went for an Anniversary Dinner, and it was wonderful, dinner and service at dinner was Fantastic! After dinner we went upstairs for a nightcap. Although they closed in 10 minutes, we were not aware and the Bar Server was not happy we came there! We were able to have the nightcaps but Wow was he NASTY about it. Our server at dinner Gina was wonderful and the Asst Mgr Brett Fabulous. The Bartender upstairs ruined what was a NICE EVENING. We really didn't know 10:30 was closing time, and there is a nicer way of letting paying patrons know without being RUDE.

    We were a party of six, and all of us loved our meals. The scallops and orzotto, Wagyu steak and dumplings, ribeye, and the shrimp and halibut with roast root veg were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. Can’t recommend this place more.

    Horrible service. Server was not nice and we had to ask for her several times. Steak was tough, way under cooked, and gross. Wouldn’t give us an extra cracker for our $40 meat and cheese board. Not accommodating at all. We go to plenty of nice restaurants and are happy to pay top dollar for good food and good service… this was neither.
