   I cant say enough about how perfect this entire evening at Moody Tongue was. It will forever be one of mine and my husbands best date nights. We feel the establishment was curated specifcally for us because it was so us. The ambiance is moody and sexy and also low key. The soundtrack is so unique and also goes along perfectly with the entire experience. The service is impeccable. The beer will make a non drinker drink. And the food was superb. Nora , especially helped to make our night absolutely heavenly. The staff is so knowledgeable and so soft and charming. Their is a deep level of love and respect for this restaurant and concept shared by all who work here. I think it is a beautiful thing to understand palates so well that you can create a menu and a menu pairing of this caliber and creativity. I was absolutely giddy being there. Go as soon as you can.

   The service was very good. Everybody was kind and helpful. We were seated right away and the meal started promptly. Unfortunately the rest of the meal did not meet the quality at the price asked for. I don't even think the head chef made the menu himself. The meal is 13 courses, with each course counted is a piece of sushi so its a relatively light meal. The person making half of my sushi that evening was a beginner. There was a second chef teaching him how to make the nigiri in front of me and this "Chef" smushing up the rice to a degree that it was broken. The rice was also what I believe improperly made. Too much water and the vinegar was too sweet. The person that made the rice could have added too much vinegar and given those results. Or it was made with too much water to begin with. Either way, they should not have served it. The beginner kept the rice out on a plate with no temperature control, no Ohitsu (Wooden bowl). After the first bite I asked my wife if she could tell whats wrong and she couldn't. I have worked in proper sushi restaurant for 7 years and lived in Japan for 1 year and anybody that knows sushi will tell you the rice is the key. The actual fish wasn't bad. But I can only compare this rice to what they serve at publix. The second issue here is the price you pay. In my case we had 2 omakases and 2 drinks and it was around $420. I dont understand how they think its ok to have an apprentice just practice on their customers like that. It usually takes years of training to start making the sushi. Not at Moody Tongue. The last course was a chocolate mousse. I don't believe they used even lindt chocolate for the mousse. Unfortunately not worth it. I will also make a note that I have been a Michellin guide fan for > 15 years. I have traveled and rarely if ever has the guide let me down. I was surprised the guide came to West Palm Beach, but apparently now they are paid and it seems like that somebody is getting recognition even if they do not des

   Great experience celebrating my birthday dinner at Moody Tongue Sushi. The chef eloquently provided details on the ingredients used and where they were sourced from. I was surprisingly impressed by the in-house Tofu starter dish. My favorite sushi were the torched kinmedai (snapper), the tea brined king salmon, and the chutoro (tuna). However, the showstopper was the wagyu hand roll that was giving a taste of Philly cheesesteak *yummy*. Special shoutout to Princez, the hostess who was very attentive and pleasant.

   the atmosphere is very cool, service is excellent, the omakase was good, there were a few items on the menu that were not great, i’m an avid sushi eater and would rather for the price be able to order al a cart, they should also consider just doing a hand roll & martin bar like the west village location, i really think it would be a more lucrative option for them, and something i would do a couple times a week.

   My husband and I enjoyed the ambience, the service, and the quality of the food—overall, everything was excellent. In my opinion, though, it's a bit overpriced for the location.
