   There were 6 of us and we ordered different things - each was very good. How rare is that? We loved the food, the place and the noise level (pretty quiet). we will be back.

   We really enjoyed our dinner at Friar's Table. It was our first time dining there and we'll definitely be back. It is extremely convenient when attending the theaters at Playhouse Square and the menu is a great mix of light dishes to full dinners. My mushroom tart was outstanding and my husband loved his lamb dish.

   One of the few restaurants where you could have a conversation without having to raise your voice. Service was excellent. The menu was an interesting combination of central European, French, and Mediterranean dishes. Food was very good and drinks were expertly made.

   Friar’s Table was an excellent experience. The staff is welcoming and warm. The food is excellent. We loved the pork and chicken dishes. We were heading to a show and didn’t have time for dessert, but we are excited to come back to try the rose beignets.

   It feels like restaurant is not sure what it wants to be. The theme of an old world monastery with flatware and menu is clear but the loud 80s rock playing throws it all off. The staff was all very friendly but not professional like I would expect at a restaurant at this price point. The menu is very limited which is fine when you want to focus on the food but the meal was not that great. I had the pesto. I love pesto but this tasted llike pasta in oil with raw minced garlic. My son had the rigatoni with mushroom and sausage. The sausage was a few very small pieces of ground sausage, not much of a protein at all. The bread (table of 4 and only 3 slices served) was filled with a pile of oregano or other herbs that left you trying to wash it out if your mouth. Overall a big swing of an investment on this location and very underwhelming miss of an experience.

   Food was delicious - roasted lamb dish and pasta/sausage combination entree with a cream sauce. Both salads were excellent and so very FRESH!! Greeter and waiters were very good. would love to come back here again.

   Very disappointed after hearing good things from other friends. Food was average and was served lukewarm at best. Atmosphere was so loud it was almost impossible to have a conversation across a small table. Attentive service was the only thing keeping this from being a one star review. Will definitely not be returning to this restaurant in the future.

    This was our second time at the restaurant. While the food and ambiance were good, I think the restaurant could be better. The staff is pleasant, but often appear unsure of themselves. We love the mission of the restaurant and are supportive of what they are doing
