We felt like we discovered something magical. The wine experience and the flavors were really unique and it was fancy without being too expensive.

Merenda Wine is such an exciting new addition to our vibrant Oceanside community! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt cheerful and welcoming, like gathering with friends in a stylish yet cozy space. We started our meal with the pasta cappellacci filled with ricotta, artichokes, and spinach, all drizzled in a rich beurre sauce. This dish was pure bliss; I could easily eat it every day. Honestly, it’s some of the best pasta I’ve ever tasted! Next up was the koji-cured pork chop topped in a savory romesco sauce, accompanied by a mustard leaf salad. Every bite was juicy and tender, practically melting in my mouth. And let’s not forget the salad! Who knew mustard greens could be so flavorful? They added a delightful zing that paired perfectly with the pork. For dessert, we indulged in the tres leches cake topped with creamy frosting and guava rose jam. Our server shared a touching story about how this recipe was passed down from the chefs mother, who made it for him on tough days. I can totally see why because each bite was so heavenly that it made the night even better! The wine selection was exceptional, perfectly complementing our meal. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance struck a wonderful balance between hip and homey, making us feel right at ease. Every detail contributed to a memorable experience, and I left feeling excited to return. Overall, Merenda Wine is a true gem in Oceanside, and I can't wait to go back for another incredible meal!

Great location, easy to access. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, beautiful layout. Great wine menu and very reasonable prices. And, the food is excellent! Pate, sardines, pickled vegetables, artichoke pasta (amazing), a great Albariño and tres leches cake! The only item I lacked was decaf coffee, maybe next time! Well done!

Love this spot so much! Service is always so friendly, food is delicious, and wines are fun and so affordable. I love that the menu changes (although I hope the lamb pasta dish makes a come back at some point, it was incredible). We went for our anniversary and got the cheese plate (get the big one, it’s worth it), pork chop, and beet salad and loved everything. We also picked up a few orange wines for home - they have a great selection and lots under $30 a bottle (they waive corkage if you buy a bottle)! I have met friends here a few times for drinks with my baby and was nervous about the reception (sometimes wine bars are not baby / child friendly) but they are so welcoming. Bathrooms also have large clean changing stations which is a nice perk.

The food choices are unusual which will most likely appeal to true foodies. The corkage fee seems high especially given the cost of the bottle before that fee.

So happy to see a place like this come to Oceanside! It’s absolutely stunning inside and the menu is super unique! Wine selection is great too!!

We had an excellent dining experience at Meranda. everything from the decor to the food and service were exceptional. Do not miss the bread and butter service, next we had the mussels with their three sauces and the roasted beet salad, amazing. we will be back again soon!
