Co-Owners Lisa Lee and Nick Wong are excited to bring a modern yet cozy new restaurant to the vibrant Houston Heights dining scene, honoring their unique third-culture Asian American roots, and everything that’s special about Houston. Inventive versions of familiar flavors are nestled alongside the golden rules of inclusion and belonging, as it’s now more important than ever to convey the values that have always been true: taking care of others is an act of love, and everyone is welcome here.

Named after Chef Nick’s parents, Agnes and Sherman is a spot for people who love food as much as they love Houston. The dishes are meant to be shared family-style, but can be easily enjoyed by small parties or solo diners. The food has a great and surprising balance of unique flavors. The Rangoon, crispy shrimp, and al pastor fried rice were our favorites. The service was quick and friendly. The diner decor was a nice touch for atmosphere.

Very interesting experience — an intriguing menu that doesn’t disappoint. The food stands out with truly authentic flavors The ambience is nice, pleasant decor but place is noisy and feels a bit cramped (we had a table for 6 at the entrance)

The Thai Omelette was spectacular; well balanced bursting with flavor. The savory scallion waffle with sambal honey butter did not disappoint and the Pandan French toast put our meal over the top. We went for drag brunch and the restaurant had an incredible layout for crowd engagement while providing ample space for the queens to showcase their talents! We hope this happens again, top tier food and atmosphere. We will be back for dinner service soon. Coretta was awesome! Super friendly, patient and proud of her colleagues.

The food here is phenomenal. As Impressive is the service. But good lord, I hope they keep doing drag brunch. The most joyful experience you could imagine
