I love this new restaurant, mostly for the panoramic view of the American river…the food is California cuisine, with nice portions…their Gumbo and Jambalaya are to die for, very Cajun inspired and delicious…there is a wait at dinner time but lunch time you’re in and out pretty quickly …come enjoy the food and the view!!

Crawdads has newly opened after several other restaurants have been in this location. They have done some fantastic remodeling and the place is fresh and open. Parking stinks so allow extra time to find your spot. Food was very tasty, the wait was reasonable and we will be going back again soon.

Crawdad's has a beautiful view and was the reason we decided to go for "Happy Hour". If your food is "good" with a slightly higher price than similar eateries, you MUST make up for it by providing top-notch service. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess (we had reservations and it was not a busy time-3:15 pm). We were seated immediately, and eventually our server came to take our drink order. She had a very "flat" demeanor. She seemed bothered when we asked if there was a Happy Hour menu. And once our food was delivered, I asked if I could trouble her for a knife to cut my sandwich, she said sure, but never returned with one. My husband went to find someone else to retrieve a knife from, but he was told to ask his server, and when he said he already had, but she disappeared, he was then told they didn't have any knives and that he would have to check "in back". Eventually, a runner came by with a knife. The meal highlights were the appetizers: The River Chips with Buffalo Sauce and Bleu Cheese, and the Crawdad's Chowder Fries were both great. All the sandwiches were fine, the side fries were great, the mixed greens were good, but the portion is on the smaller side. Several eateries in the area prepare similar items with better flavor and at a better price. The only thing that would bring me back would be the view.

Not a fan. Very loud. Inattentive service and food was nothing to write home about. Ordered chicken nachos. No chicken included until we finally made contact with our server.

This was the first time at the restaurant and we had been looking forward to the experience for a long time. Great location and really cool vibe overlooking the water. Our reservation for a family of 5 was for 7:45 pm, while most of our table received their food by about 8:30 there were two meals including my son and myself that the order was not put in. Our food eventually came out about 9pm and 1hr and 15 min after we sat down. we had infrequent visits from our waitress. The food was ok, but overall over priced for what it was.

High school graduation lunch for 12. We were seated on the deck, and extra umbrella was brought so the entire table was shaded. It was so pleasant looking out at the river, the paddle boarders and kayaks. Every thing has been completely remodeled and is beautiful. The service was wonderful and food was excellent. We will return.

We came here to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment from start to finish. It was our first time at this location, and the music was blasting so loud that we couldn't hear our server--or each other. The drinks from the bar were off, and the food was incredibly salty--after just one bite, it felt like we had a spoonful of salt in our mouths. All three entrees were sent back, and surprisingly, the server didn't even offer to have the kitchen remake them. That meant we didn't get to eat dinner at all. We shared the nacho appetizer, which was also way too salty, and the few small pieces of chicken on it were overpriced and underwhelming. On top of that, our server didn't bother to refill our waters. We ended up walking out after spending over $120 for just three drinks and two appetizers, without even having a proper meal. Definitely not worth it. We left with a salty taste in our mouths--literally and figuratively--and we won't be coming back.
