One of the best meals in Wimberley! Our food was delicious - tomato pie, Gruyère biscuits, bavette steak and redfish were the highlights. Service was outstanding. They also have an innovative cocktail menu.

Noise level was listed as moderate only because we were able to enjoy the live music from other venues on the same street, as we were sitting on the patio. The server was attentive and we were pleasantly surprised by a free dessert for our anniversary! The menu had great options that were interesting and unique. Great local venue for a special celebration.

Looking past the fact that we had a first time server, we were left unattended for 15 or 20 minutes at a time while watching our neighbor table gets attention at least 6 to 8 times. I had to go pick up my own silverware from the table next-door because our server took mine in without coming back. Service is consistently bad there. It’s too bad because we like going there. The original Hildees was great. I missed that place.

New menu so still a couple quirks to work out but it’s headed in the right direction. Wagyu was cooked well with a nice crust but very salty.

First time and we won’t go back. Arrived 6:15p for 6:30 reservation & paid bill 8:30p. Server took 30 min to get my drink order only after I went to front to ask for her. Very very slow service, cold food and brown lettuce in salad. Took way too long to just get bottled beers. Server checked one table at a time but never came to our table of 4 to see how we were. She needs better training on customer service. Won’t return. Business won’t last if they don’t fix these issues.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. They were testing out a new menu, and I must say, the biscuits, oysters, and meatloaf were the standout dishes. However, the bucatini fell short of expectations. We informed the staff about our feedback, and I’m optimistic that with a few adjustments, they’ll improve that particular dish. Despite the slight hiccup, the atmosphere was great, and the service was reasonably good, considering the staff seemed short-handed. All in all, I think we’d definitely revisit this restaurant.
