   I've visited the River Oaks and Fort Worth locations of Hudson House and have loved each visit. The Rice Village location is outstanding. Great vibes, amazing food, and even better cocktails. We will be back!

   Beautiful new restaurant for Rice Village! It is much larger than River Oaks - but same large bar and great booth seating. Service was prompt and pleasant. Started with a chilled dirty martini (asked for blue cheese olives but didn't get), appetizer of sweet/spicy shrimp and delicious cheeseburger and skinny fries. My biggest issue is with the parking at this location. There is no valet parking - it's either the ridiculousl pay parking meters which people of a certain age will have problems with - or - a parking garage that charges - or - street parking (good luck). Enjoyed my dinner!

   I had an early dinner with a friend on a Wednesday. Even though the restaurant was pretty full by the time we left, the noise level was excellent. We had no trouble at all having a nice conversation. The best thing about this restaurant is that it is ALL BOOTH SEATING!! What a great idea. Lots of privacy and it keeps the noise level manageable. Our waiter was very professional and helpful. I think his name was Michael. The waiters are dressed professionally which is very respectful to the diners. Both my friend and I ordered the redfish. It was delicious. The only issue we had was that I ordered the lemon butter sauce on the side, but it was served on the dish. It wasn’t a huge amount of sauce so it was fine. We also ordered skinny fries and got the truffle fries. We didn’t say anything. It wasn’t a big deal, but it seems like the kitchen needs to be more attentive to orders. I like that drinks or dessert wasn’t pushed on us. This restaurant is a welcome to Rice Village. I will be back!

   Giving a lot of grace here as this location just opened and they’re still working out the kinks. The food is just as good, if not better, at this location than we have had before. The service needed some work. We waited long periods for drinks and general table maintenance. The host stand was the most warm, welcoming, and accommodating beginning and end to our visit. We’ll be back, just looking to see things tighten up from a service perspective.

   So excited Hudson House opened in Rice Village. It is my new favorite location. The food and service are excellent. Our server, Joseph, was very professional and attentive - in just the way. Looking forward to many more visits in the future.

   First night open at this new location and they did great! Happy hour is a good deal but limited only to the bar stools, with only about 20 seats. Tables in the bar area are always empty and should be happy hour menu available, but are only for dinner reservations. So come early or you are standing for happy hour.

    I can’t say enough about the food, the service and the overall feel of the new Hudson House! I love the other location too, and it is a perfect spot for a fun lunch or a business lunch!
