This was my first time coming to Icon in the afternoon. I typically visit at 11 for brunch when the restaurant first opens. I will NEVER go back in the afternoon. As much as I love our waitress’s personality, she was not great. Got there at 3. No water was offered. Drink orders were taken about :10 in. :30 after, I asked for water. Why wasn’t water already given? That should be on autopilot. Our drinks came about :45 minutes into the visit. Our food arrived at 3:53. Sheesh. And the fact that gratuity is already incorporated, makes some servers feel as if they don’t have to do the work. Patronizing black restaurants is so hard. Just bc we look the same and you know I want us to win, does not mean you skimp on service and quality. It’ll be a while before I go back; I’d rather go to Olive Garden.

R&B Tuesday was def a vibe. Great staff and customer service. Thank you so much to our server Patience. You went above and beyond. Oh yeah yall drinks are amazing.

I love black owned business but this restaurant didn't meet my expectations at all. Half of the menu was unavailable. Chicken was served with feathers attached (No Lie). Totally ruined father's day.

The entire dining experience at The Icon was excellent. The atmosphere was really comfortable, the meal was superb, and our server was attentive. We loved how the manager showed up and introduced herself. I am anticipating my next visit and highly recommend this restaurant.

The Oxtails and rice is amazing but the wings they need to bring down the price. We ordered wings and we received 3 wings for $18. The drinks need to be reasonable as well.

The ambience at the icon was 10/10. The decor gives luxurious and classy. The service was okay we were greeted when we walked in and promptly seated for our 7:15 reservation. I ordered the salmon Oscar with jollof rice and my boyfriend ordered the jerk chicken with jollof rice. My salmon Oscar wasn’t hot and there wasn’t much cream sauce or flavor to the dish. My boyfriend’s jerk chicken was better but still lacked flavor. The jollof rice wasn’t spicy either. I would recommend the place to grab a drink and catch a vibe, but not to dine.

This place has great vibes. Everyone was polite and courteous, and the music was on point. Our server provided great feedback on the menu. However, the drink prices were quite expensive, despite being very good. The food tasted good, but I personally didn’t think it was worth $45. Despite this, I’ll definitely visit again.
