Great food and the drinks were also good. Service was so so, waiter messed up our order and completely got one person’s order wrong so she had to wait while the rest of us ate. Service started off strong and then the waiter was gone for long periods of time at the end. Overall the steaks were great and in the end it was a good dining experience.

We went to brunch for Father's Day. The menu items available on the buffet were excellent. From wagyu beef and polenta chili to brioche french toast with fresh made whipped cream and berries! We've had dinner there in the past and that was also excellent. The service and ambiance is great, and the bartenders do an amazing job with drinks. I highly recommend!

I wish I could rate things better, but this time at Baraboo just wasn’t good. We went for Father’s Day & were sat at a table that was right in the way of the buffet line to where everyone had to move out of the way for us to be to sit. We sat for over 15min before I got a hostess attention for someone to get us drinks. The waitress had said she had no idea our table was hers. The service was awful, she was swamped, forgot about our drinks, didn’t bring the kids kid cups, it was just a hot mess. The food, sadly was cold, not much to offer & refills were very slow. One of the platers of food had run out, the staff took the plater away with the serving soon, a new plater was brought out with no spoon to serve, I asked a passing by kitchen staff for a spoon & he came back 10min later saying he couldn’t find a serving spoon. Plates ran out & people had to stand & wait a good 5min for a plate. I was super bummed it was this way. We came on Easter & all was good, everything went well. Sadly Father’s Day just wasn’t done well.

Disappointing experience overall. Went here for a special occasion and felt like we should’ve picked somewhere else. The wait times were insane. We got placed next to a very noisy large table. Waited a long time for our salads, long wait for our drinks and food. I’m talking over 20mins each time. After our dinner was done we were asked if we wanted a dessert, after waiting for 20 MORE minutes and we still needed to pay we decided to ask the hostess to track down our check. The waitress ran up to the stand with the crème brûlée in her hand and said “you don’t want your dessert? It’s on the house!” Unfortunately after almost two hours we needed to leave. She boxed up the dessert, I ran to the restroom and came back and the box with my check was sitting on the hostess stand. The food was delicious and I think the chef did a great job, the service was lacking. It’s too bad… for the price we paid for food I was expecting better. Also, every other table was being served crackers with some kind of candied jalapeño dip but we didn’t get one!

Excellent experience for dinner at Baraboo. Megan was a very attentive and friendly server. The music was great for the older vibe of the restaurant. The "House on the Rock" drink was refreshing. The complimentary olive, cheese & jalapeno appetizer was tasty. The artichoke dip was creamy and delicious. The salmon & sirloin were prepared well. Highly recommend.

Amazing service! Amazing food! All of the food was cooked to perfection! I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Chef Ramsey cooking our food! The drinks we ordered were amazing as well same quality of drinks I got when I ordered a drink from Dale DeGroff!

Wow—thank you for such an incredible review! We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that your experience at Baraboo was nothing short of amazing. Comparing our kitchen to Chef Ramsay and our drinks to Dale DeGroff? That’s high praise, and we’re honored! Our team works hard to deliver top-notch food, drinks, and service, and it’s so rewarding to know we hit the mark for you. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with our chefs and bartenders—they’ll be over the moon! We can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable evening.
