   The food was very good but the restaurant ran out of some staple ingredients/coffee during prime dinner time on the weekend. But the caesar salad was one of the best I have had!

   Great place. Good atmosphere if you don't like loud and stressful restaurants. We let them know that we were in time crunch and the whole process took 30-35 minutes. Food was so delicious that we bought some dessert to go and we ate it at home. Zack and Alicia we're delightful. Highly recommended.

   My review is based on dinner for 6 and also breakfast on 5/10. Our server seemed to be in a hurry for dinner and, on multiple occasions, rushed us to order even though the restaurant was not completely full, including telling us that we had to place the main course order (around 7-7:30 pm) even though we had ordered sufficient drinks and appetizers. The food was good, but the service can definitely improve.

   The restaurant only recently reopened for dinner, so the dinner menu is not very broad. They have a very sparce selection of wines at the moment, so hopefully in a month or so they will be able to broaden both the menu and wine list. I believe that the restaurant used to offer bread service with dinner. I'd like to see them return to that as well. Service was cordial and professional.

    I'm so glad the 312 has reopened after being closed for 3 years for the pandemic. They are slowly growing their menu, but the current offering is certainly solid and the quality is fantastic.

    The menu doesn’t describe how good the food is here. The crispy dough ap is incredible. Wanted the secret to their red sauce and of course they won’t give it. Their bar is also first rate. Go here. Sit down. Get a drink and watch a plate or two pass you by before you order. Very happy with this dinner. And love the quiet ambiance.

    So happy 312 has reopened. This dinner was my first time back since the reopening. Food was fabulous. The baked halibut was "to die for." Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely going back.

    Our table was very small and next to a post. We shared a few dishes but they did not course them so the pasta was cold by the time we finished the salad. We had to ask multiple times for serving utensils. The salad and pasta were good, the dessert was very disappointing. Would not dine again.

    Our experience at 312 was probably the best we have experienced since arriving in Chicago 9 months ago. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and treated that way through the rest of the evening. The ambience was warm and inviting without being claustrophobic or jarring. It was quiet enabling us to talk without sharing with those seated near us. The service was superb. Markus, our waiter, was friendly, thorough and given without reason for my usual criticism of sloppy or indifferent service. He was precise and informed both of the menu and the wine list. Ah! The food! The menu was limited but diverse showing a creativity, boldness and control of quality all of which were true when it was served. The flavors were true, crisp yet subtle where they needed to be. The wine list was almost non-existent because 312 had only recently re-opened and a full wine list was not yet available. However, the offerings that were on the list were very carefully and professionally assembled, and Markus provided excellent guidance. I cannot speak effusively enough about 312. True, the prices are on the higher side, but, paying for the whole dining experience, the value for that price far exceeded that of pricier establishments that we have found in Chicago since arriving.     The chicken breast was overcooked, I couldn't cut it with a knife. When the bill came the prices were higher than the menu. To their credit, they fixed both issues.

    Service and food were excellent, especially the fried brussels sproults (Cavolini). Also we had been stuck in traffic. We did call, but were 25 minutes late and they accommodated us with no issue. The only thing is they are a little pricey.

    My sister and I really enjoyed everything about our experience at 312 Chicago. Thank you to your staff for the service and the high quality food. My sister has trouble with her stomach after eating (her gallbladder was removed so she has to go to the bathroom after eating), but she did not have any issues with your food; she did not have to go to the bathroom right away. That is because of the high quality of the meal and the high quality of its preparation.

    Always a delight....Zhanna (hope I'm spelling that right) was our dining facilitator (the term server doesn't do her justice)…..She is the best!.....always remembers our drink orders.....We can't wait to see the remodel.

    I've walked by 312 dozens of times but for Valentine's evening booked a reservation. WOW It was perfection. Every bite was delicious. Great melding of flavors, fabulous menu especially the pre-fixe multi course meal for valentines night. Service was attentive, ambience very nice, beverages excellent and the renowned chef Luca Corazzina stopped by our table. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. We will become regulars!

    We had reservations but were running late but still wanted to have dinner before going to the theater. We explained to our waiter of our very short window of opportunity and asked what would we could order that would give us enough time. Our waiter said that the chef's could quickly prepare anything we ordered. We ordered a couple of pasta's and to our amazement our meals were on our table in a blink of the eye allowing us to enjoy a nice dinner and still get to our theater production with plenty of time.

    The filet could have been cooked a touch longer. Service wasn't bad. Wasn't terribly noisy. Kind of interesting that the receipt was missing the tipping suggestions that they normally print for other meals that I've eaten there. Disappointed that no tiramisu on the dessert menu.

    A Father - Daughter date night at one of the BEST Restaurants I have ever enjoyed an evening at. Chef Luca Corazzina is a hidden "Jewel" in the World of Chefs. You should always ask to say Hello to Luca as his response will make you feel not only a little more special, but like family. His food quality and preparation is "simply the best" from appetizers to a fillet of beef that is unlike anything I have ever tasted. The 312 Chicago was packed wall to wall and yet the noise level seemed non-existent as we could only hear the two of us talking. The customers dressed from suits and ties to relaxed jeans, and yet the entire restaurant "flowed" with the feeling of class personified. The Martini and other "fun drinks" we had just kept the smile on our face the entire 2 hours we were there. The Server did not try and rush us, and yet if you were in a hurry, others around us ordered right away. We had such a fun evening we stopped at the bar ( where you can eat as well ) for a night cap - two friendly bartenders make a great drink. As much as I love Cafe LaCave, this is by far, my favorite restaurant in Chicago for any and all nights out. I have enjoyed lunch there in the past, but this dining experience will always bring me and my family, and now my Daughter's company business back for dinner as often as possible.     312 is one of our favorite Chicago restaurants, in part because it’s within walking distance, but also because it is open when other restaurants are closed, and the menu offerings are consistently excellent. We can typically share a 3-course special and one extra entree and have plenty of food to share with each other. The waitstaff is superb - attentive, and well-versed on the food and beverage options.

    We went for brunch before the opera. Excellent ambience. The menu was varied and food delicious. I love that the character of the building has been retained in the decor. Our service was impeccable. I highly recommend ! We will be returning.

    Took my mom and 8-year-old daughter prior to seeing Riverdance. Had a wonderful experience I would highly recommend to all. Food was delicious, affordable for the nicer menu, staff was welcoming and friendly, and they made sure my daughter had a wonderful experience. It set the tone for a wonderful evening,!
