We pre-ordered a 3-lbs lobster, requested it was steamed. The best lobster ever. The Palm knows how to make a great Live Loster! The Gigi salad with shrimp and avocado is delicious and only served at The Palm.

Was perfectly fine, but nothing special. The convenience of it is the biggest perk. The food was pretty bland but our server was amazing and extremely attentive/helpful

Unfortunately, my go to restaurant for lobster ran out and their recommended alternative option did not impress. Furthermore, for reasons unclear to me open table didn’t award points for my reservation. The service met my expectations, but I was disappointed and will always check availability before booking this downtown landmark.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We had a few other reservations in the past that we had to cancel last minute. Glad to finally get here. Staff was great and attentive. Food was amazing!

Food is consistently excellent. Service was great. However... They took the carrot cake off the menu so that was incredibly disappointing. It's been on the menu forever. Palm, if you're reading this.... PUT IT BACK ON THE DESSERT MENU!

The service person was very good, worked very hard. The bread was more like the bread we used to know in Beverly Hills--maybe the change in the bread in B.H. was part of why it closed :)

This Palm restaurant in the Swiss Hotel in Chicago is near where we live. We like the traditions, ambience, good service and very good Italian dishes and steaks. we look forward to going again.

From the time we walked in to when we left, everything was top notch. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. The food was outstanding. My sea bass was cooked to perfection, as was my husband's tuna. We would love to tell you about the cheesecake, but I am sad to say, it remained in the hotel room refrigerator untouched. I do hope someone got to enjoy it. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We’ve been to the palm well over two dozen times. This really is the last time we will be there. Yikes. Ordered martini’s with olives. We got no olives. A manhattan made with an olive vs cherry. Ordered carpaccio. Got something else delivered. Calamari was cold and like rubber. Overall service was so bad we legit got up and left. It was terrible. We’ve never done that as a family ever.

Disappointing all the way around. I go to Chicago once a year for a big trade show at McCormick Place. I have taken clients to this particular location of The Palm for 7 years now and it’s always been very good. . . . . Until this year. Food was so- so. The server was terrible. I had to wave my menu in the air just to get him to come over and take our order. Couldn’t get his attention at all. Couldn’t get refills on water no matter how many times we asked. Future trips to Chicago, I will not be visiting The Palm.

My family and I had dinner here on a Sunday afternoon. The first waiter we had seemed a little distracted and the service was slow, it took a while for them to bring my husband a set of silverware, and to get the drink menu we requested multiple times. The first waiter must have gone on break or went home because then we had a second waiter. He was much better and way more attentive to our table. Besides this the food was excellent. It was a little noisy but we were in the bar area. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Palm and may give it another try just maybe not sitting at the bar.

The Lobster ravioli that my wife ordered had a sauce that was so hot that it was not edible. The rest of the food was ok but this ruined the evening.

We celebrated our 9-year anniversary at the Palm and they made us feel so special. They decorated the table with “Happy Anniversary” confetti and signed a card for us. They also decorated the complimentary dessert to read happy 9th anniversary with our name. The food was amazing- we started with the lobster ravioli and meat ball and then had the chicken parmigiana and bone-in ribeye along with asparagus and au gratin potatoes. The drinks were delicious as well, especially the lemon drop martini. Great service and a nice ambiance completed our special day. We will definitely visit the Palm again.

Excellent meal and the wait service were excellent. The restaurant setting is nice, but is basically all interior so no good views of the city or even outside. The meal was excellent and I highly recommend the hashbrowns which is one of their signature dishes. Compared to other high end restaurants I have been at, there were few choices of signature dishes for The Palm. But excellent food and service overall.

We go to the Palm Chicago every year for a birthday celebration. Every year we normally have the jumbo Nova Scotia lobster’s as our main entrée. This year we changed things up a bit and found that it was a mistake and particularly unremarkable. Instead of two jumbo lobsters, my wife had the jumbo lobster and I opted for the lobster tail. The lobster tail was over cooked and dry especially when compared to my wife’s tail from her full lobster. The full jumbo lobster was Delicious as usual. We ordered two appetizers which included grilled octopus and a clams duo dish. We sent the grilled octopus back as it was fishy and tough like shoe leather. The clams were also underwhelming, and Instead of sending them back, we decided to eat some of them. We exchanged the octopus for fried calamari, which was exceedingly greasy. The wait staff was exceptional as usual and they were particularly giving when it came to my birthday including fresh fruit for dessert on the house. Overall, we had a nice time and every once in a while, the kitchen isn’t on point. We expect to do this again next year and hope for a better experience.
