   The venue is beautiful but the service is not good. No greeting at door. Our reservation was for 7:30 PM and they did not seat us until 8:15 PM. The server poured water on guest next to us and then left the water on the floor for the remainder of both tables dining experience. Did not bring requested items. One server asked us if we sat ourselves down at our table. It was a really bizarre experience and terrible service. The food is ok, it's not great. Drink menu is good and the drinks were good.

   Food was mediocre at best. Grease-soaked “pomme frittes”. Clearly frozen scallops. Overly chilled and overly ripened tomato salad. Noise level was ridiculous. Service a B-. Overall, C/D

   Definitely an experience I’ll never forget. Beautiful place for a date night, HOWEVER, the service itself took away from the experience. We were neglected at the bar, served without a greeting and shoved a drink in our face. When we were finally seated at our table, we then met Shawn or Sean who served us a medium rare attitude with neglect once again. Tim did save the night with his welcoming nature and immediate attention to our discomfort.

   I wanted to love this place! It has an absolutely stunning and regal atmosphere (old bank), and totally has my vibe. However, the food was overpriced for what it was (mocktail, foie gras, steak frites, and strawberry tarte). The mocktail (although pretty) didn't pop with flavour in any particular way; the foie gras could have come with more bread; unfortunately, I think our waiter made my friend's steak "charred" vs. mine; and I've had better French desserts for half the price elsewhere. The best of La Grand Boucherie were the host (placed me in his favourite spot/view of the restaurant!), and the host who seated us; I appreciated their kindness and welcome.

   Great food and amazing service! Our waiter helped us pick an amazing wine that did not disappoint!

   I love love the place . Our reservation was late but they made sure we had a great meal for the night. I will definitely visit again very soon ☺️

   Beautiful, grand restaurant and highly recommended. Food was good but our waiter was so busy (giving order status as he runs by, asking if we want another drink as he runs by) that it diminished the experience greatly. Overall rank would’ve been higher had it not been for this aspect.

   It’s a very nice place with fantastic food. It can be crowded but that’s DC. I like the decor, and I like the fact that it’s family friendly.

    I enjoyed my Mother’s Day at the restaurant. Overall things went well. We arrived early for our reservation, and was asked to wait by the bar. So, we grabbed a couple of cocktails. The restaurant is so beautiful, so while we waited I got a chance to take it all in. We were seated within the half hour, which was great! We arrived at our table, nice seat. The waiter came by to get us started and at the onset seemed a disturbed/bothered with us. I knew right away we’d need to get on the same page or this would not be a good experience. The afternoon continued with us ordering drinks, hor d’ oeuvres and mains. I asked the server about the steak and how it was prepared bc we were at a French restaurant. He answered that it was a really good steak. Okay, I guess he didn’t want to go into the details. (My ribeye was just ok, very smoky tasting and no sear). We had a couple of hiccups 1) a cocktail was really bad, we had to send it back, the waiter questioned us and didn’t seem to understand the issue. I asked that he take it back and request that the bartender that fixed it while we waited to be seated prepare it again 2) our main dishes came out on to of the hors d'oeuvres. That felt really rushed and honestly there was not enough room on the table prior to the clear out. The waiter handle those two issues well and we seemed to be in a better place. All in all it was a nice, most of the staff was very nice and accommodating, we got to be seated earlier than our reservation and the atmosphere and beauty of the restaurant was 5 out of 5
