    Loved the old school feeling and fabulous service. Food is second to none. No frills staple of authentic Japanese food in Houston. Will be back soon.

    We made reservations for their omakase. Everything was done so well, from the service to the food. They were so kind and attentive. The fish was fresh. I really enjoyed the kobachi platter. My fiancé loved the freshness of the fish. And the warabi mochi stole the show at the end. A fantastic experience that I would highly recommend. They also mentioned they change their omakase menu monthly. Must go back!

    Since Nippon closed I have been looking for a place with the same quality and authenticity and I have found it in Teppay. Excellent food and friendly staff. This is our new go to for Japanese food.

    Omakase is good! Love it! The food and service are incredible. The only thing I would complain is a little bit pricy tho

    Our “go to” place for Japanese food . Best to make a reservation in advance . Food is always good . Service is great. Ambience is great! Small and cozy place to dine and relax .

    Love this bustling sushi bar. Excellent food and service as always! Gerardo was very attentive and made some excellent rolls.

    This place was wonderful! We got the 6 piece omakase sushi (x2) and the the sashimi (x1) and enjoyed every piece. The miso soup was OUTSTANDING better than any other I've had. The sushi variety was perfect everything was distinct but nothing was so overpowering that it leaked into the next piece. Everything was FRESH and clean, and the Uni was like butter. I really really enjoyed this and will definitely be coming back

    Teppay is consistently the best Japanese restaurant in Houston and it’s not even close! Staff is nice and attentive, food is reasonably priced and always delicious.
