   We had a reservation for 18 people last night for Rey’s birthday. Our server was amazing and she did separate checks. I wish I could remember her name. She was so sweet and cute. And very very efficient. Most of the guests had NOT dined here before but we had. Everyone loved the meals and drinks. I highly recommend this place. We love the cauliflower appetizer, the arrachera steak, ribeye de chicaron, guacamole and charro beans. The mariachi were a little loud, but fun. We love our evenings at Tu Asador Castle Hills.

   Food was great like expected, service was poor. Never really checked in on us unless it was delivery the appetizer or entrees. Nothing really in between, said thank you plenty of times and never really got a simple response, just walked away. I guess it all made sense when the gratuity is already included in the bill… will go again truthfully, but unfortunately the service needs to be better.

   I had Picania steak and enjoyed it very much, cooked medium rare and served with bulb onions. My wife had arrechera (skirt steak generally used in fajitas) and found it too chewy to finish. Also the only greens on the menu were cooked onions and guacamole. They serve quality meat, but not much else. They seem to expect customers to be familiar with dining in fine restaurants in northern Mexico. And the menu includes several group options. So a good place if you know what to expect, probably better for families or groups of friends than for couples who grew up on Montana steaks and steakhouses.

   I love this place. The ribeye chicharons, the cauliflower appetizers my favorites. And the fideo. Yum I had margaritas. Always fabulous. The service is always in point.

   Food was delicious. The skirt steak and chicken were our fav, don't forget to get the charro beans. The drinks were also very good. Definitely going back.

   I love this place! Authentic food that tastes just like the North of Mexico. Good live music on Saturdays and drinks are fairly priced and delicious!

   Drinks ordered: 1. Paloma- delicious 2. Sierra Madre- tangy, sweet and fruity! 3. Santa Lucia shots- Strong, sweet and yummy! 4. Matacanes- tasted like a passion fruit lemonade, my favorite!! Food ordered: Apps- 1. Queso fundido- our favorite app of the night. So much flavor and cheese! 2. Volcanes de Arrachera- a great plate to share with the table! My favorite part was the crispy meat and spicy salsa! Main tabla- 1. We originally ordered the sirloin, but they were out so we upgraded to a ribeye-medium rare and we have no regrets! It was cooked perfectly! 2. Sides: Papa Asada, came with butter and cheese, choice to add meat. It was the perfect side, so filling but not too heavy. Second side: Jalapeño poppers, I only wish it was cooked a little bit more, too crunchy for my preference. Overall, the price was with everything we got! It was affordable, filling and sooooo delicious! There was live music so it was a great atmosphere. I will likely do another birthday/anniversary dinner here!
