This was my third visit and every time the food and drinks were great!! I’m loving the tacobirria so good and the rice is amazing too!

Had my birthday dinner here on a Saturday night. Wonderful service and fun drinks. The restaurant was good about messaging me back when I had questions about my open table reservation. Will definitely come back!

Server very friendly, but service was slow. Chips & salsa were not included at all and had to be ordered. Salsa was not even provided to top dinners/entrees/tacos. Fajitas were flavorful, but only meat, peppers & onions and 4 street-size tortillas were provided - no cheese, pico or salsa.

Stopped here on Mothers Day with my family after the Tigers Game. Reservations weren’t needed since it was pretty much empty at 5:30. First impression clean and inviting. Second, the menu left a lot to be desired and a bit confusing. Beef on a taco wasn’t an option, no burritos, enchiladas were a set of 4 with only green sauce as an option. Rice and beans were not included on 95% of the meals nor were they shown as sides. Chips and Salsa was $5. The amount of chips for 4 people was a joke. The salsa too spicy and the mild was a light green cream with zero taste. The worst: Everything served was cold and DRY. It truly appeared to be leftovers from the previous day. Steak, pork and chicken were all terrible. None of the toppings had taste and the shells and tortillas were not like the pictures online. Can’t say anything about the drinks (waters only) but still had to ask for refills on empty glasses. First time leaving a Mexican restaurant still hungry. Lastly, they automatically put a 20% tip included in the bill on ANY size party even less than 6. I’m not one to complain at restaurants or leave bad reviews and always tip 20% but we felt robbed. There’s a reason it’s not downtown with the rest of the great restaurants in Detroit!

Four of us dined there for the first time and would definitely return. Reasonably priced, easy parking, great drink menu & spectacular food. We had the trio dips and chips, loved the queso. The guys in our party followed our waitstaff’s recommendation and got the beef taco’s, I had the fish taco’s, the pickled slaw and avocado topping was very, very good. Well staffed!!

Mezcal is one of my favorite restaurants. They have the BEST Birria tacos. The staff are amazing & the food comes out very fast. I will definitely be back soon.

The service was poor....Mainly due to adding of service charge 20% (tip) to the bill. The server who served us did not explain the different dishes, also we had to call her several times to clear the table. Brought the bill before the desert was served. The food was extremely good. This is our second visit to Mezcal.
