My wife and I decided to try out Salted Edge (first time) for our 36th Anniversary. It was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Plum Creek Chicken. Chicken had no flavor (Basic baked chicken), garden fresh green beans coated in "olive oil?" and instant mashed potatoes. (not real). I have had better meals from other places for a better price. We were seated at the first table on a main isle way that was very busy. We both had to sit on the same side of the table to avoid getting bumped into and backing into others. Noisy atmosphere. We will not be back.

While the ambiance is great, and something totally new/different for Omaha, we were less than impressed by the service and quality of food with what we ordered. Started with the bread board — hard pass. We were not even told not all the bread options were available that night when ordering. Not until it was being dropped off from someone other than our waiter were we told. The buns we were given were extremely hard/burnt on top, and the cornbread was very dry. We let our waiter know about it, and he appeared thoroughly annoyed we were even mentioning it. He offered a different appetizer, and we declined, and just asked that he take it away. Ordered a 6 oz filet medium, and the Hawaiian Ribeye medium rare. The filet came out medium rare minus at best, but the ribeye was cooked to the correct level. It took 10 minutes from someone to come by and check once we had cut into our steaks if they were cooked correctly. We sent the filet back as it was were told they would correct it for us. About 10 minutes went by when the same piece of meat was brought back out. While the middle was medium, the rest of the meat was well done, and looked like it was warmed back up in the microwave. The flavor of the ribeye was good. The shareable potatoes were excellent, so I will give them that. The smoked old fashion and mule we ordered were also good. When we got our bill, the bread board was still on there, and the filet was full price as well. For a $200 meal, stick with Mahogany, J Gilbert’s, or Pivot! The pizza options they had looked really good, so maybe this just isn’t the place if you’re looking for a good steak for the price point it’s at.

The food was outstanding! Nice variety on the menu! Prices in line with other similar restaurants. The Chef is very talented. Presentation of the food was wonderful. Nice wine selection. Pride mountain merlot on the wine list. However the service was very poor. Inattentive at best. Waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledged by a server of any time. Had to flag down 3 people before we got an excuse that blamed hostess staff. By the time the manager got involved it waa too late. Never got our wine...yes the Pride never made it to our table after 2 requests. There are too many other fine dining establishments to go back anytime soon. The front of the house needs to be trained on fine restaurant service for sure.

We visited Salted Edge for a special occasion and while our main server was attentive and professional, the overall experience left us feeling a bit unsettled. One of the food runners consistently directed communication solely toward me, noticeably ignoring my partner. As an interracial couple, we have unfortunately encountered moments like this before and it is always disappointing when it feels like inclusivity is not prioritized. The food was presented nicely but fell a bit flat flavor wise. For the price point, over 100 dollars per person, we expected something more memorable in both taste and atmosphere. The setting is beautiful and the concept has potential, but our experience did not quite match the level of hospitality or culinary depth we were hoping for.

Beautiful place. We were seated on time. It’s really noisy. High energy. Our delicious bread board came right away. We loved it. But…. Entrees were delayed an hour. The server avoided us the whole time. Two refills of drinks,. The server had to talk. He said it was delayed because it was so crowded. (And it was crowded. On a Tuesday night! ). When the food finally. came mine was cold. But my guests’ food was steaming hot and delicious. They replaced mine 20 minutes later when everyone was finished eating. The food tasted good. But the experience? A disaster. They waited while I ate. People next to us waited an hour an a half for their food . No apologies from server or manager. They didn’t bill me for the food. But who cares. The evening was a disappointment. Embarrassing. If I had been a guest, not host, I would have eaten the cold food. I probably should have. But when the entire is $40/$50 it’s hard to swallow. Literally and figuratively.

I really enjoyed my experience here. The ambience on the lake was lovely. Its a higher price point restaurant for with that also came excellent service. Portions were good. I loved the bread and butter course. Excellent Bolognese sauce and fish. Interesting cocktails and nice wine list. Would def return.
